I was quite surprised to see that Bea, one of DC's top Latino and female superheroes didn't have an appreciation thread! Who doesn't love a good pyrokentic character!! So without further ado show some appreciation for the lovely Beatriz aka Fire!!! I wonder where she'll be popping up at in Rebirth... hmmm...

Loved Fire since her early days as Green Flame in the Super Friends comic.
I like Beatriz best when she's with the JLI or Checkmate.

I have loved Bea since I first found her in that Super Friends issue eons ago. I was ecstatic when they brought her into JLI, then Checkmate and then back for the new JLI. I wish they would use her more. All DC's talk of diversity and they won't use their best characters for it!

I have no idea why this thread has gotten so many views but its pretty cool. Beatriz is an awesome character who should be used far more than she currently is.

Animated Appreciation: It was great that she got used in the Justice League Unlimited season. Although I'm not sure about her accent. Sounds more Mexican that Brasilian.
Neat detail in the Creators commentary on the DVD about Fire's design - they gave her intentionally placed modesty flames to prevent her from looking naked.

I didn't like her in JLU. She was awesome in Batman Brave and the Bold especially when Tora and Aquaman were saying a lot of stupid things.

In JLU she was a minor character and had some shiptease with the Flash.
I think she and Ice would be be a good fit for Supergirl and the CW stuff.
