This was an incredible conclusion to the "Summer of 2015" Valiant event. It was nice to finally see Tama fully embrace her relationship with the Earth. The creative team did an inspired job of showing Gilad's dedication to help the Earth as its protector, despite the high personal cost to him.

Book of Death, as a mini series, demonstrated yet again why the comics community is all abuzz about Valiant. Great story telling coupled with oustanding art, married to on-time delivery for every issue, all the while being true to their cohesive universe. It's a truly winning combination and this series, culminating in this particular book, capped off a thoroughly enticing tale. Since their return in 2012, Valiant has been singularly focused on quality stories, while not falling into the traditional quagmire of growing too fast at the cost of such quality. Slow and steady growth has been their hallmark and it continues to serve them well, as evidenced by this book and series.
