Default Stories Where The Hero Was More Interesting Than The Villain

What are stories in which you found the main protagonist more interesting than the villain they opposed? It doesn't have to be limited to movies mind you. It can extend to comics, video games, tv shows etc.

T start off, I'll use Steve Rogers from the first Captain America movie. I know people see him as boring, but I could connect with wanting to prove yourself and feeling underestimated by your peers. That and I don't have a murderous urge to take over the world.

Pretty much all of them? I generally always find the hero more interesting than the villain. Not that I can't find villains interesting or sympathetic, but at the end of the day, I usually feel more of a connection to the hero.

Ha, this. I've only picked up books for the heroes I'm interested in. I thought that maybe the OP made a mistake in the title.

The first Iron Man movie it was very much predictable who the villain is from the start so no questions about his motives either.
