Hello all. I am in the process of creating a comic book. I already have three scripts written with a fourth one on the way. I'm an artist myself, and I am looking for another artist to help me draw the comic. The comic is a homage/parody of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, concerning a group of twenty-something slackers picked to save Earth from an evil dictator from another dimension. I have come up with character designs for the main characters, which you can view here to get an idea of my style: http://postimg.org/gallery/2wmg7fcvu/

The comic is to take place on two dimensions (ours and the dictator's): I will handle the Earth dimension and the other artist would handle the dictator's. I will handle all penciling, inking, and coloring on my end, so someone who would be able to do all penciling, inking, and coloring on their end is preferred. I would also prefer it if the artist has experience drawing robots and giant monsters because there will be plenty of these things in the comic book. The other artist should have a more realistic traditional comic book style as my style will be very cartoonish.

As of right now, I cannot pay anyone upfront, so rather than make any false promises or false guarantees as to when I can pay you, I'd rather you just go into this under the assumption that this is an unpaid gig.

Hello, my name is Matthew Ryan and I am an Illustrator. Having graduated in 2009 with a BA Hons in Illustration from the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone, I was keen to develop a career as an Illustrator. My intention was to specifically focus on the area of comic books and concept design, however I feel I should not just limit myself to these two areas and instead have looked at all types of visual narrative work. Currently I am working on a computer game project designing starship/ character designs and creating comic pages; however I am looking for other projects to work on alongside this one.

My strengths lie in my idea generation, allowing me to come up with a variety of designs in order to explore the client's brief thoroughly. I would like to think that this includes exciting and creative solutions that stand out thanks to my unique style of illustrating. One of my most recent commissions has been for several Role Playing adventure books titled "Alien Earth", which has included designing original characters and objects alongside illustrating them. These have included tribes, armour, weapons, vehicles, animals, monsters and robots to name a few; which are all fantasy and science-fiction based.

I have created a variety of designs for each in order to produce the best illustrations possible; and whilst several of the descriptions have been quite challenging I have managed to work my way through them so that the client was extremely happy. Previous commissioned work has included an as yet unreleased graphic novel, referee screen-art for role playing series "Lamentations of the Flame Princess", and five comic pages and one cover for internet comic book company "Rocket Galaxy Comics".
