Nah, already seen the Starlin version when it came out. Doesn't change the fact that adaptations of comics are different from the actual comics themselves. I mean, do you think a Starlin drawn male could exist in the real world? I mean everyone is drawn like they were pumped full of a ton of steroids for 10 years.
She looks good as anyone could look. I mean, consider the source. It's a green Frazetta style alien hottie.

Great post and very evenhanded. But Starlin was the anti Image artist; his women were natural and his men not so much... plus I was looking at Warlock vs the Magus stuff from the 70s. Pre Dreadstar/Epic.

There *is* a perfect actress for Gamora who looks "non Protestant from Connecticut", like Gamora (who looked like she was a Medici or Turkish dancer or Pre Solomon Jewish femme fatale), and that actresses' name is Mila Kunis. Who looks very much like Gamora while this woman looks like a "thong comic" wankfest.

    O

But again I doff my hat to your reply.

Starlin Gamora looked like a what now?

Sorry, but that's not a Medici or Turkish or pre-Solomon anything. That's a green alien space babe. A green alien space babe who looks like a "thong comic wankfest".

Considering the historical fame of the Gallic Peoples contributions to porn and soft porn, I will bow to your indubitably greater acumen in T and A. Although most French and Belgian nudie nudie embraces the ingenue vs the curvaceous, yes? So your comment is taken with *many* grains of salt. Also I never referenced her outfit; you focussed on that superfluous aspect.

Biffie Wiffie Pow Wow: As for "Comics fans are so old" as a reply to the mention of Pleshette, many many drag queens under the age of 27, whom embrace and recreate Jean Harlowe, would sneer/chortle at such a comment.

They'd then ask if someone would be so culturally insular and cerebrally lackadaisical as to presume any drag queens who loved Harlowe were over 80 years of age, for invoking a 1930s actress. Or "old" for recreating a Crazy Broad from the Land of Oz. Or assume someone was in their 70s if referencing a darker Liza M. number from Cabaret.

To be honest, my original analogy was between Rebel Wilson and Kat Dennings. But it was too tempting to see if someone would take the low road, the lazy road, and make an ageist comment.

Though I imagine, maybe, you could be a Baby Boomer expressing perceived chronological camaraderie? *wink*

Considering the tiny size of the European porn industry compared to the American, you might want to rethink that statement, and perhaps post an image or two of Medici or Turkish dancers or Pre Solomon Jewish femme fatales...

you have to thank Bendins GoG for that. Gamora looked way hotter before than now.(during DNA run, and before) Also more bad ass. Now she looks like a shield agent.

I wasn't aware Bendis drew GotG as well as wrote it.
I also wasn't aware that in the film she's wearing body armor just like in the comic.

What does the Bendis run have to do with anything? It wasn't an influence on the film. Plus, as far as I'm concerned, Gamora never looked hotter than in the Bendis look.
