Hoping for the day when the sword and shield goes back to being very secondary.

What made and makes Wonder Woman special to me is that she isn't like everybody else. She is regal. She is diplomatic. She is compassionate. She is wise. When she dealt with arrogant or disrespectful individuals, she knew how to do so with dignity and grace. She is a royal after all. A princess. Why would she speak like a "sailor" so to speak? Or be brash and aggressive? I just wish current writers would remember and respect these aspects of her character. She is supposed to be a positive and inspiring character, but some writers are so focused on trying to make her "edgy" and dark or aggressive. That isn't who she is. It's not what she was created to represent.
She may be a warrior, but that isn't what defines her. She is a dichotomy so to speak. A peace seeking warrior raised princess. Wonder Woman was created to be a counter point to what a stereotypical "strong female" is supposed to be: a man in feminine form so to speak. She was made to show the positive facets of women. Our compassion being part of our strength. Wonder Woman shows that women are strong and loving. Fearless and gentle. Assertive and kind. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. She exemplified nobility and grace. Someone who sought the best in people and wanted the best for them. I want that Diana back in all forms of media.
