I cut my teeth on King Of Fighers when I was in the Navy years ago

was stationed in Japan and an arcade I would go to had all the KOFs up to 97 (I was in the USN from 97-2001)

my preferred fighting game

always liked using Blue Mary, Sie Kensou, and Kyo Kusanagi

KOFXIV looks like it's shaping up much better than I thought it would, but holy ****ing hell does Sylvie look atrocious. One of the single worst character designs I've seen in years...possibly ever.

King of fighters was nice when you knew all the keys. I was flying around with the Pizza Boy character. That being said it is everything that Street Fighter is not. Only sad part is that KOF made a better SF for the 1990's into the Cross over years ( Capcom vs and Mark of Wolves ). However for the 3d years on the PSX and PS2 it was barely playable.

It was still playable and all but the game and all but only a few people knew about the PSX game ( which is more of a retelling ). The PS2 game while good looking and playable is just not fun compared to the 2d games.

I really love how they decided to stick with the 2d instead of the full blown on 3d. The 3d with KOF kind of just derails it.
