It's been a very very long time since I couldn't wait for the issue of a book. This is my first Archie comic and I loved it from the last preview image show her rise from the pool. The art is right up my alley too, I've never heard of the smallwoods but they became instant Top 5s.

Greg's lines are beautiful, and his colors are great. They pop, but yet have a dry almost chalky look. Love how it is in a modern setting, but evokes such an 80s vibe which is also a period of time I can nom on all day.

Most importantly this dude draws some of the best facial expressions I've seen in awhile. He's elegantly stylistic, yet evokes incredibly realistic expressions. I feel the soul of the characters.

Not saying this story is anything new or ground breaking necessarily, but it is well executed and the mannerisms alone leaves me wanting more. I buy into the fear, confusion, insecurities, etc. I'm impressed.

That's an unfortunate reaction, since for Archie horror titles, you should be prepared to wait a very, very long time for the next issue of a book.
