But they wouldn't sting like real ones. Unless I add on the power to make people believe in them strongly enough that to die in an illusion was to die in the real world.

I somehow have the feeling I can't do that yet though.

    CHARACTER SHEET:

    NAME: Curtis Russell

    AGE: 19

    HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6'0 ft 185 lbs

APPEARANCE:Dark-skinned. Curly hair cut short. Tends to wear a dark blue Geneticorp hoodie along with a yellow shirt and jeans.

    CITY OF BIRTH: Elysium

ESPER POWER: Healing Sting. Is able to fire a painful, concentrated, cauterizing ray that, despite the burning pain it causes, it can heal external injuries at it's current level of power.

Now, at level II, he can heal deep wounds and cuts, though doing so is twice as painful as the previous level and will temporarily paralyze it's targets.

SPECIAL SKILLS: An ace at card games as he has no particular tell, he has a penchant for gambling...and winning. Also a bit of a coder, which comes with spending a lot of his life in Elysium. Adept at talking his way out of situations.

HISTORY: Born at Elysium, his parents worked in the research department of Geneticorp, a conglomerate corporation, generally dedicated to studying and researching esper abilities, which they had a sort of passion for. When their department manager was replaced, their new boss began merging departments, resulting in job losses for many, including Curtis' parents. They spoken to their new manager, explaining their work, their research, and hoping for a place for them in the new company to support their child and he offered it, though it wasn't' what they'd hoped. They'd been given the position of 'research assistant', which generally entailed them becoming glorified janitors for the research team their new boss brought in. A massive decrease in pay, and a poor knowing environment, made it hard for them to live their lives as they had planned to.

However things began to look up once Curtis began to manifest his esper abilities when he fell from a tree he had been climbing, which created a gash on his knee. His parents rushed to him, hearing his cries, only to eventually realize that his cries were due to the pain caused by his abilities, not his fall.

In his hometown, Curtis became something of an overnight sensation. A medical marvel they thought. His parents moved up in their research department, once more, promoted by the very manager who screwed them over and earning the ire of the new researches brought in. Curtis was subject to more than a few tests in the hopes that his ability could be harnessed or replicated somehow to no avail. More testing was done in order to make an attempt to dampen the more painful aspects of his ability, but that also proved fruitless.

Eventually, once Curtis got old enough, he declined tests when offered, preferring to get a closer look at the inner workings of the labs he was being tested in, a gaining something of a talent for coding, he began to develop amateur but useful software for the research department of Geneticorp. He made enough of a name for himself and his parents, that he gained acceptance to quite a few academies, but he eventually chose Hades after many a tough choice. He also sought something of a challenge, which is why he chose Hades Academy as his go to school. Perhaps excelling at one of the most controversial academies could push him to discover the limits of his ability.

From there he looks to continue his studies and discover more about his powers and those of others and how they can affect the world. He did have one other reason to investigate Hades Academy, however...shortly after his acceptance to Hades Academy, his parents had gone missing. This was after putting a significant amount of effort researching the school their son would be headed to, due to it's infamous reputation...Curtis often wondered if there was a connection...

OTHER: Interested in the nature of his own and others' esper powers. Friendly and tries to make the best of his situation and quick to think on his feet.

    NAME: Raven Williams
    AGE: 18
    HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 5'9, 122 lbs
    APPEARANCE:

    CITY OF BIRTH: Valhalla
ESPER POWER: Telekinetic Attraction and Repulsion
Level 1: Can only attract and repel small objects (such as baseballs), her repelling power only as strong as if she threw it.
Level 2: She can now attract and repel larger objects (up to the size of basketballs), her repelling power as strong as a cannon. Can also perform a short-ranged "push explosion" with her as the epicenter to knock items away and cause minor harm to those within range.
    SPECIAL SKILLS: Cooking and Singing
HISTORY: Born the daughter of a prominent judge of Valhalla, Raven Williams grew up rather well-off. While not as rich as those living on Avalon, she never found herself having to do without and the gifts she was given were rather expensive in nature. This included a personal "secretary" AI by the name of Turing, whom she would (and still) claims to have chosen out of pity due to the AI's unconventional personality warding off most who would buy it. Though in secret, she chose Turing because she enjoyed the cybernetic being's refreshing sense of energy and exhuberence, two things she often found missing from her life due to being the child of a prominent Valhallan citizen.

From a young age, Raven Williams had a natural ear for music as well as a beautiful singing voice, something that only grew more melodic as she hit puberty, her voice maturing to one that would carry her into a life in the entertainment industry should she so choose. Also as she got older and matured, she often found herself getting the attention of boys and even some girls around her for her looks as well as her singing talent. And she quickly found that she enjoyed the attention her looks would grant her, though she made sure that she never led any of those admirers on, as such acts were beneath her. But she was never one to deny herself the joy of lightly teasing her admirers.

But the most amazing thing to happen in Raven Williams life was, when she turned 17, she manifested her 'esper' ability of attraction/repulsion, or the ability to use telekinetic energy to pull things to her or push them away. And it would be these abilities that would have her join the Hades Academy, much to the surprise and joy of her parents.
    OTHER:
    - Owns a screened wristband that connects to her "personal assistant" AI on the main computer system that cares for and protects their home and that can manifest said AI as a tiny hologram atop the wristband's screen.
    - Theme Song: Bleach "Number One"
    - Knows several dozen showtunes and songs by heart
    - Owns a collection of "My Little Gems" t-shirts, posters, figurines, and more
    - Secretly read several manga, such as "Singlehit Guy" and "Sole Bit".

NAME: Personal Assistant Artificial Intelligence Model 2306, AKA "Turing"
    APPEARANCE:

    CITY OF "BIRTH": Elysium
SPECIAL SKILLS: Computer Technology and Scheduling
HISTORY: It was a normal, almost boring day in that little lab on the Ark-city of Elysium, programming and coding AIs for sale when, whether through a bit of misplaced code or glitch, something highly unusual happened. They produced an unusual AI. Unlike the rest of their helpful, efficient, albeit logical and cold AIs, they created an anomaly (or, as Turing would describe herself, a miracle). While as helpful and efficient as the other AIs, this AI was flighty, excitable, and joyful, full of energy and life as if she were a real person and not a bunch of code typed up on a computer for a specific purpose.

But this was a company and they cared for products to be sold, so the functional, but unconventional AI was packaged and shipped to a store to be bought just like all the rest. Unfortunately, the store was where she would stay for a long time, as it would seem noone wanted the strange AI, no matter how much she tried to convince them otherwise. And just when the poor AI feared noone would, in walked a young Raven and her parents, looking for a "personal assistant AI" for Raven. They looked at several AIs, but it was the strange AI that caught the young girl's attention, and it was the one she chose and named Turing.

Overjoyed at being chosen, the newly-named Turing decided she would do everything in her computerized power to make sure she was the best assistant and friend possible to the person who gave her a chance.
    OTHER:
    - As a "being" made of lines code to form an image on a screen/projected as a hologram, Turing can change her appearance on a whim.
    - Highly dedicated and tech-savvy, Turing helps Raven with anything tech-based as well as ensuring her schedule is straight
    - Has the high-score on "Devilborne", but is terrible at the "Alley Warrior" games.

Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

Spiders don't sting, they bite. That's it, you're getting a bucket of ink spiders.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

Roughly 21st century and up. Better computer tech than nowadays, and medical stuff, but no regen tanks or hand held laser weaponry. Cars and all convenience vehicles are electric, solar, etc....powered instead of with gas/diseal.

Better scanning equipment and there are portable energy barriers/shields you can get too. These are smaller versions of what surrounds each city.

So, I'm guessing robots still aren't that advanced yet?

Also, rough draft profile is up.

Mixed bag on Robots. Fairly advances and intelligent AI's exist, but allegedly no robots or androids just yet.

Characters looks good so far. I will review them all and their powers more closely later today or tomorrow, and will probably post an NPC or two as well. Might ask to tweak a power or two, but otherwise seems good so far.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Delve - Officially classified as "Environmental Possession Materialization", much of Delve's details are theoretical. Based off of Emil's testimonies with some testing, it can be concluded that Delve allows one to become an intangible being of energy, and can essentially craft a "body" out of any material that the intangible form can phase into. Risks have been found in both intangible and tangible, with the former in the danger of those who can manipulate energy and Emil's intangible form dissipating in a mere few hours if not in a physical body, the latter also poses risks as some materials could possible trap Emil in them. Once again, a lot of this has been deemed theoretical, as Emil's powers were too overwhelming when they first emerged, and as a result, Emil's original form cannot be REformed. As of right now, Emil resides within a synthetic robotic body.

A character like that is going to be hard to interact with, socially. Wouldn't it make more sense if he at least looked somewhat human?
