Social media takes the filter off of society. I'm not sure that's a good thing though. I think societies need civility to function. I don't think social media garners civility. In fact, I'm concerned that it's a potential society killer. It amplifies humanities tribalistic and clickish elements. It allows both the proliferation of hate speach, and serves as an echo chamber for both extreme left and right wing extremists. Right now extreme rightwing politics is doing the most damage, but I'm not so naive to believe that extreme leftwing politics wouldn't do similiar damage if given power. I live in the US, and from what I've seen I don't think this country can function with leadership that isn't moderate. To actually govern a politician needs to be able garner people from all over the country. an extreme Liberal(by American standards) like Bernie Sanders, can't do that, and as we can planely see, an extreme righting president like Trump, doesn't really work either.

There seems to be some women outdoing the men in the "Men created everything you like so you cant talk about sexism" and are doing it with NA's, especially these blonde obsessed ones. Many people shy away from this discussion, I know NA's get focused on the least too in anything and are usually seen as Nazi's even to a certain end of the political spectrum.

And that sums up the complaints of POC creators especially black ones. We have to ahve these long resumes and still can't get in or be put on certain titles (See McDuffie). While others with limited skills can get in the door.

I agree with the assessment of trump actually saying or even recognizing this. This was a passage we had to memorize in HS English. The wonderful and legendary teacher we had had called it one of Shakespeare's greatest quotes.

It's one of the many things I had to recite in high school, but it's the only thing I can still recite in total now at the drop of a hat, line by line, word by word.
