Yes it can be consensual. But when I was in prison there was a fair amount of people who were in there because they abused family.

Except incest can be consensual so it strange to me that people refer to it as if it is always rape even if only statutory. By the way Poland allows abortions in the cases of rape but not incest so universally they are not always lumped together with each other but in most discussions coming from America they seem to be.

I don't have any hard fast figures but I imagine that for every adult consensual incest pregnancy that exists there are 999 where the adult family member raped the underage female in the family and got her pregnant.

So I stand by the fact that incest is worse. Incest is almost always rape as well and its worse than regular rape because of who the offender is and the fact that victim has no escape from the next rape. If you get date raped thats horrible but you don't have wake up every day sleeping in the same house as your father who molests who knowing that he's going to do it again and again and again and again.

IMO, 90% of Black Panther hate stems from how popular it became. It is one of few Marvel movies that tackles big themes with complexity. And yes, is FAR better than Green Book.

A lot of the Killmonger was right crowd really didn't look to deeply at him and his motivations. Sure, he may have had a point about Wakanda's isolationism enabling imperialism, but most of his adult life he'd actively participated in that imperialism and his answer was not to denounce imperialism, it was even more imperialism only with him in charge.

Well that happens when you have folks fighting to keep a film like that from being made.

Especially a Disney employee with the power to do it and had to be removed.

It gets to a point of you can't use other black movies to justify not doing a movie.

What I think sets Black Panther apart is that it is a movie about big philosophical debates and the villain actually lead the hero to change his mind about how he was conducting himself. However, the film never tells you to think Killmonger is the good guy. It handles that tightrope very well, which is what I think sets it apart in the world of Marvel movies.

The problem is people overlook the VILLAIN part of the "Sympathetic villain" but I'd ssy its got a hell of a lot more deph and thought behind it then any of the Snyder movies that claim you need to "think deep"

Yep. Numerous people didn't get that Killmonger was a villain, and the movie didn't shy away from that. It didn't matter.

To me it was a middle of the pack Marvel movie. Competently made and enjoyable but with the obvious exception of the mostly black cast didn't do anything special or noteworthy to make it stand out above the other good but not great Marvel movies.
