There is the argument that changing sports team names is probably the least helpful crusade to commit resources to.

I would argue that names like this normalize the institutional racism. People do point to it when defending their own racism. Removing it as an acceptable name helps the cause. Same with Confederate statues and Military base names.

I agree with the assessment of trump actually saying or even recognizing this. This was a passage we had to memorize in HS English. The wonderful and legendary teacher we had had called it one of Shakespeare's greatest quotes.

I have not seen this story until now. You just have to shake your head and wonder WTF they were thinking.

They thought they could make some money from that crowd which I guess they have a right to do. What's funny is that Dynamite offered a non-apology for something no one was even concerned about and now CG supporters are claiming that they "bent the knee" and have been "cancelled by the mob". Which is funny considering that the publisher is not distancing himself from that faction and that certain comic by that certain person is still coming out.
