Apparently there's a large contingent that find Adam Driver sexy. I don't get it. If I was a maître d', I'd seat him in the ugly section of the restaurant.

Ditto, but he's done pretty well for himself. More power to him.

The BEST Bond theme. The lyrics poetically describe the feelings of having a double O license to kill and the aspects that are Bond and the gambling theme of the movie are applied powerfully.

And I say this being well aware of Sir Paul and Dame Shirley.

I’m all onboard with this. The fact it’s also in some ways a non-traditional Bond theme in subject matter, attitude, style, and visual accompaniment also helps it tremendously. You don’t need ambiguously mutated naked women Writing around every ten seconds to make a good opening video for Bond.

...and on a related note, Quantum of Solace is a better movie than Spectre. Neither is a great Bind film by any means, but Quantum is a hell of a lot more creepy and competent seeming than Spectre, and Dominic Greene is a fun throwback to the more mundane but loathsome villains that appeared sporadically between the traditional hams, while New!Bloefeld is a waste of Waltz so far.

The Casino Royale (2006) credit sequence gets a good mention here https://www.thrillist.com/culture/ev...equence-ranked and when I have the time, I must once again watch the collected sequences through a search on youtube. But to be fair, I am very accepting of writhing ambiguously mutated naked women. Yes, I am often a pig. I also was commenting on the song alone, but am certainly open in discussing the visual sequences as well.

Hell, Blofeld offering Roger Moore a delicatessen was a better Blofeld than nuBlofeld.

I will also state another controversial opinion:

Bond discussion > Star Wars discussion.

    Change my mind!

Since we are on to Bond, then my controversial opinion is that Skyfall is the dumbest and worst Bond movie ever made. How it is the most financially successful is a mystery to me since its sooo bad and insulting to ones intelligence. First off the nonsense villain plot. Mid movie the villains entire escape revolves around the trains blocking off his pursuers. Yet the timing of his escape is completely out of his control and it depended on his device being activated in the lab by one of the good guys. He doesn't know when that will happen so he can't make a plan that depends on a set time event like the trains. Then the ending. Bond had one mission - protect M and keep her alive and he utterly failed. He went against orders and protocol and his decisions got her killed. And for that he got an award and promoted? WTF????????? How do you keep your job let alone get an award and get promoted for screwing up as badly as one could possibly screw up while violating orders?

    Don't get it either.

Also don't think he's a good actor, and found him almost unwatchable in Star Wars.

He's not good looking in the classical sense of a Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt but yeah some women tend to go for unconventional looks, I've never seen him in the show Girls but I guess there some nudity on that show I guess women liked what they saw who knows.

The same for Tom Hardy not so much his looks he's a decent looking guy but he seems to mumble everytime he's on screen I have to use subtitles to watch a movie with him in it.

Tackles shouldn't be allowed in football. (soccer)

Needlessly dangerous and as my old coach used to say : a defender stays on his feet.

Oh it sure is nice to see different types of profiles in big budget hollywood movies. Kudos to the ones who hired him for the star wars movies, that actually was a ballsy move. I mean, when he first removed his helmet in force awakens i was like "oh, maybe you should put that thing back on, son".

    More power to him indeed.

Some store brands taste better than Coca Cola.

That is because they are name brands using different names.

While it would take research you can find out who really makes what brand.

For those that remember Pay Less Shoes in the 90s there were these shoes (maybe Shaq's) that look EXACTLY like Nike without the swoosh.

They were called Attack Force and I think Shaq might have used them. Some NBA player did endorse them.

But how would you steal the ball other than intercepting passes?

I'm not a sportsing type of person, but as far as sports goes, I'm pretty sure all sports officials can be totally automized at this point. This, and the risk of spectator injury needs to be brought to zero. No more baseballs braining people or anything. I think that's everything sports I care about.

But I'm extremely pro-automation and AI. Don't really care about flying cars ever, but I really wanted more robots by 2020.

I do like being able to drive myself though. If I wanted someone else to drive, I'd take a bus/taxi.

I worked in a potato chip factory in my HS days and we made store brand in addition to our brand name products. The ability of a producer to sell a much larger amount of product to a chain makes the lack of a brand much less of a factor.
