I like Velma, Fred and Daphne more than Shaggy and Scooby.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Shaggy and Scooby are the comic relief and that is it. I've always liked Fred he was the man with the plan. I would say that most would agree that Scrappy Doo was the worst.
Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting

    Scrappy was the worst.

But other then a cool fashion sense that fits in with a back round actor in a 70s made for tv movie and a condescending attitude what does Fred bring you?

elaborate Rube Goldberg traps, the defacto group leader, sweet driving skills, and yes dude can rock an ascot, which has to be the reason that Daphne hangs with him when the gang splits up (which is usually Fred's idea to do so). Guy is an O.G. cartoon lady's man

I thought Batman Year One was among the 100 greatest storylines.

I meant Batman Year One, I already mentioned DD. A slip up on my part.

I'm going to disagree and be controversial. There was nothing wrong with Scrappy Doo.

The idea of a little dog that acts like some big tough guy and who idolizes Scooby for being a hero when he's obviously a goofy cowards is a real fun one and has tons of potential.

What's wrong is not Scrappy Doo. It's that when Scrappy Doo was added to the group, they started to sideline the other characters and featured more humor and real monster stories than the typical unmasking stuff they used to do.

I think The Funky Phantom was truly a masterpiece of dada animation.

For that matter, every member of Scooby's family that was introduced was great.

I apologize. I didn't mean it as an attack. I certainly wasn't trying to gatekeep ( if such a thing is even possible in a thread like this) I just thought it was an odd statement.
