Pre New 52 Diana vs Classic Thor

Hmmm.
Isn't Wonder Woman a stretch faster in the reaction speed department than the Thunder God?

I tend to think of Diana as the light speed equivalent of a bullet timer. She's not as fast as Superman, but she's fast enough to react to machine gun style volleys of heat vision fired off fast enough to be hanging in the air next to each other and what not.
So yeah, she blitzes Thor.
Ah.
So, what you're really saying is Usain Bolt is actually faster than Bruce Lee?
Joking aside....that's kind of what I thought. Best feats I can think of for Thor are (oh boy, here goes...), Marvel Two in One #26 (IIRC) and early issues of JIM that show him reacting to bullet fire successfully blocking a few shots...and maybe a few more....
But that's...about....it.

Wonder Woman speed blitzes him. She is not as durable as Thor but she's strong enough to hurt him and fast enough to keep up with Flashes .
What are Thor's feats that make him faster than Spider Man then ? He's been shot , had trouble with Wolverine and Daredevil off the top of my head and generally displays little to no superspeed whatsoever
Why is he considered faster than Spider man then ? I'm sure there are feats that I'm not aware I'd just like to know .
Also side question, why is Hulk not considered the same if Thor is? Hulks caught Tank shells and moved in a green blur but has trouble with the likes of Wolverine too . Which is PIS , Hulk struggling against street levellers or vice versa ?
You are opening up a door that takes us to a dark and horrifying land of nightmares and superspeed ditch digging. What are Thor's feats that make him faster than Spider Man then ?
The rationale and provided feats are different. Also side question, why is Hulk not considered the same if Thor is?
I will say modern Thor doesn't seem to have much for speed feats. Classic Thor had some stuff though. Honestly though, getting Thor ruled at that level was such a huge step up from people insisting he had FTL reflexes that we have mostly been cool with leaving it there.
Yeah, it's just a place no one wants to travel to again, or even look at through a telescope. A high powered one. On a completely different planet.
Umm...what?
Again here are some of Hulk's speed featsThe rationale and provided feats are different.
Catches a rocket

And again

Blocks gun shots

Reacts after trigger is pulled

Casually catches an RPG

Not as impressive as some of the others, but Joe Fixit catches Hawkeye's arrow

Catches bullet with teeth after transforming in the time it took the bullet to get from his face ( he's still Banner when the shot reaches him) and before it went through him

Forgot this feat from fantastic four 26. Catches tank shell ( he also struggled with Captain America later in the issue , So again, where is the PIS I wonder ? Cap getting jobbed or Hulk?)

These are his " quantifiable feats"
Here are some unquantifiable "blur" like movements

Obviously these are not all ( just the more recent ones ) but it does seem to be beyond peak human speed doesn't it ?
Especially impressive is this feat of Hulk blitzing speedsters who were moving too fast for normal humans to even see properly

Thor's most quantifiable speed feats ( that are not outliers ) seem to be bullet timing at best . Surely Hulk is at least as fast then ?

Ok from what I understand Thor's speed used to be a huge issue before the mod ruling with people claiming he was FTL and all
But surely that doesn't mean we can't question his status just to avoid another lengthy debate ? After all, DBZ speed is debated at length all the time despite how long it usually is. Thor shouldn't get a free pass just because it's " too much trouble", right?
From what I understand the ruling is to ensure no one claims Thor is faster than what the ruling says ( like for Cap and Bats ) . But surely we can question him being slower ?
For a lot of them? No, not particularly. A whole lot of RPGs are nowhere near the speed of sound, that bullet catching in the teeth thing has been excessively debunked, that uh.. gun.. he "blocks shots of" doesn't look anything like a gun of any recognizable sort, and wtf its firing I don't even know, the gun "he's reacting to after the trigger is pulled" seems not to then actually shoot anything, just in the scan itself, which significantly pares down that list already, without looking at anything more indepth.Obviously these are not all ( just the more recent ones ) but it does seem to be beyond peak human speed doesn't it ?
This is not to say I particularly find Thor to be as fast as noted myself, but I can live with the ruling just fine.
I will grant through gritted teeth that superspeed digging a ditch is an actual speed feat for Thor and better than what you're putting up for the Hulk.
