    Default Superhero/ Supervillain Teamups

Which combo do you feel would be cool to see in the pages of ASM? For me, it has always been the following:

    1. Alpha Flight's BOX; X-Men's Nimrod, and Omega Red
    2. Titania; Stunner, and Man-Killer
    3. Abomination; The Kingpin, and The Blob
    4. Mystique; Mysterio, and The Chameleon
    5. Hydro Man; Tiger shark, and The Spot
    6. The Vulture; Deathbird, and The Grim Reaper
    7. Arcade; Joystick, and The White Rabbit
    8. Norman Osborn/Otto Octavius; Jerome Jaxon, and Gideon

As Spider-Man team combo, my favorite are:

    1. Silver Sable, Silver Samurai, and Shatterstar
    2. Tigra, Psylocke, and Cardiac
    3. Black Widow, Chance, and Solo
    4. The Beast, Puck, and D-Man
    5. Jessica Drew, Felicia Hardy, and Snowbird
    6. Rick Jones, Richard Rider, and Firestar
    7. Carol Danvers, Alpha Flight's Guardian, and Captain Britain
    8. Kaine Parker, Moondragon, and Robin Vega

Cool team, huh? It's like putting things together to create a trading card deck into a story not seen before.

Honestly, the only non-Spidey Marvel Universe villain I've never seen duked out with Spidey yet, I want to see happen at least once, is the Porcupine, Alex Gentry, in his original sixties horrifying / cornball Porcupine battle suit, and in an "Untold Tales of Spider-Man" setted tale, since he is long dead anyways.

My opinion, can only work, if it's fun, or "I can DO IT!" extraordinary, like Spidey's victories against Thanos, Juggernaut, and Firelord. Galactus, if Spidey could defeat him, would fit that bill too, I shall at least say.

You've chosen fellows (and "sexy" chicks) that's just there; feels purely out of nonsensical randomness; I really do not feel any potential chemistry between any of them with wall-crawler, unlike you for apparently a few years now.

I shall however add my idea; in an Untold Tale, to add to Porcupine (Alex Gentry), the rest of the wild bunch Count Nefaria pitted against the X-Men; the Eel, the Plantman, Scarecrow, and Unicorn, sans Nefaria. I cannot really understand why them against X-Men, even the original X-Men either, when even back then a majority of their opposition was Mutant-themed, but it was what it was, and each of their individual cornballisms was engaging.

What might have been cool to see was The X-Men(1975) vs The Sinister Six, as well as Squadron Sinister. Besides I have yet to see Peter Parker encounter Mystique/Madam Viper, which is long overdue.

I want to see Doom and Ock really appreciate each other and scheme to thwart Peter and Reed respectively so the heroes can really cut loose on them on a science level.

Obligatory "Anti One More Day" post from me, but I'd like Peter to team up with Doctor Strange and Loki against Mephisto.

"Overdue" implies that people have been anticipating something with reason to expect. Following with how ngroove put it, Mystique and Madam Viper are just "sexy chicks", and your use of a slash mark seems to indicate that it can be either one of them, which treats them as interchangeable. It's not exactly "overdue" if either one of them can fit into such a broad role. Your "trading card deck" analogy falls flat because you're not looking at them as characters, but instead as just tools in a game. You try to justify it by talking about how it's new or never been done before, but maybe the reason it hasn't been yet is just that not many people particularly care to seriously see that. You say that Marvel has diverse characters, but if you just treat Mystique, Viper, or any other woman interchangeably, you lose what makes them diverse. That's not about encouraging new ideas. That's desperately searching for porn wherever possible.

Believe me when I say that I do not bring up random characters without a story behind it. I could see Jigsaw vs Spider-Man which I have yet to see, or a possible friendship between Peter Parker and Tony Masters(The Taskmaster)....

Amazing Spider-Nab #161-162 and #188. Either available in Essential reprint format, or my preference, if I have interest on it, the original issues; I don't see Jigsaw as in-demand as other bigger caliber villains, so I don't believe they'll be that troublesome pricey.

I'd almost bring up a one-time romp with "Armadillo", under the logic of another member of the animal kingdom against Spidey just for fun, but then again, when it comes down to the nitty gritty, he's just an interchangeable with Rhino, complete with impenetrable hides that they really are just hurting to tear off, just so they can live normal lives again.

He's not doing that right now, and considering how he was one of the founding members of the New Avengers, he was doing a much better job of embracing that pre-OMD than he has post-OMD.

The "friendship" with Peter and Taskmaster hinges on Taskmaster somehow being Mary's brother. Really, "friendship" seems to be the word you keep relying on. Though from what I can tell, while they've interacted, it's mostly been as an enemies. You may have stories behind the random characters, but they're not interesting. They're shallow.

#162-163, but close enough. More importantly, Jigsaw debuted in #162. You can't say Jigsaw vs Spider-Man is something unseen when that exact conflict is why Jigsaw exists in the first place.

No hes a big superhero power now than hes ever been as a reserve avenger or new avenger. Avengers now haven't done any important when compared to parker industries.

They can be interesting under a good writer. I never said that I would write the story. I could see Gerry Conway or Jim Starlin making the partnership between Spider-Man and The Taskmaster work, as well as a possible partnership between Deathbird and The Vulture.
