You've obviously never seen a crackhead run lol

I have, they start off fast and run out of steam in about two blocks.

Of course on TV and in the movies EVERY criminal is a long distant runner.

Hahaha true! They jump fences like it's nothing, too so maybe some hurdle/high jumping skill included.

When one character is trying to tell another character something, and the other character keeps talking, only finding out what the other character was trying to say after sh*t hits the fan.

    "You're dead!"- Soldier
"You first"- Lightning, Final Fantasy XIII

"Yes, boo, cause this is Calvin Klein and I don't play that ****" - Tanisha

You mean horror movies? Horror movies bug you? You know it kind of needs to be an evil thing when it's a horror movie, if it wasn't evil it would likely be in a different genre...and they make those movies where supernatural stuff isn't evil.

Normal people falling, and grabbing onto a window ledge with their fingers, or someone else catching them with one hand.

Maybe if you are an Olympic gymnast, rock climber or parkour champ, but regular folks, no way. I have worked up high on scaffolding, very hard to hold yourself up with just your arms.

For that matter, bullets that spark. Bullets don't spark when they hit. Yes, I know 99% of action movies do this, so I tolerate it. But in TV/movies that are supposed to be elevated to a higher level of realism, grittiness, and prestige (like the first season of True Detective), once it happens it knocks that prestige down by a peg.

Unnatural conversations!! Especially between 2 people, where they constantly say the others name. Perhaps my number 1 hated thing in all of tv/movies.

Jack! I've been looking everywhere for you!

    Chloe? What's going on?

I've tried to hide my feelings, Jack, but...

You know you can tell me anything, Chloe.

...I know. I think I'm in love with you.

    Chloe...for real?

Yes...I've loved you since the moment I saw you, Jack.

    Oh, Chloe...

    Jack...

But...crap, Chloe, what about your Dad? Sam will kill me...

Don't worry about him, Jack. I have a plan!

I can forgive most things. But this drives me nuts. Titanic & Smallville are two of the worst offenders.
    "Darkseid...always hated music..."

Every post I make, it should be assumed by the reader that the following statement is attached: "It's all subjective. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for you, and vice versa, and that's ok. You may have a different opinion on it, but this is mine. That's the wonderful thing about being a comics fan, it's all subjective."

Selective physics. Particularly, hurricane/tornadoes that are blowing cement mixers around while the normal humans manage to bravely hang onto something like a realtor's yard sign.

Oooooh! Good one. One of the real advantages that theatre has over cinema is that you get a program with a dramatis personę that lets the dialog skip past unnecessary proper names.

It's not exclusive to video, but the mystery information cheat. The fact/piece of evidence that pops up at the last second to suddenly resolve the plot's mystery. The best mysteries put it all in front of you, and vigorously misdirect, but give you a fair chance of solving it yourself.

The one where the hero, in a fit of rage, has the villain beaten and at his/her mercy. He/She has the perfect opportunity to kill the person who destroyed countless lives, but the hero's friends beg him/her to spare the villain's life. Ultimately, the hero decides not "off" the bad guy because "it would make them no different than the monster he is."

For ONCE, I'd kill for a chance to see a twist of that situation:

The scene plays out as before, with the hero sparing the antagonist. He then says something that triggers the hero back into pure fury, he/she immediately jumps at the guy, and brutally murders him.

(Or some situation without the allies being there to stop him.)
