Goldust jumps Horowitz to start and the two battle for control , which the bizarre one wins. Pillman claims he needs to be Goldust's agent for building the harem he intends. Pillman then again claims that Vince loves cashing his checks since he's the boss. Goldust finishes off this squash match quick with the curtain call. Vince himself walks right into Pillman's joke which has him have to cut away from it...

"Does Marlena ever get excited about anything ?"

"She is when she has that 3 way soon , ha ha-"

Backstage is the Smokin Gunns and an angry Sunny still covered with cake. She proclaims that the Smokin Gunns are respectable champions unlike Shawn and Ahmed. Both brothers are angry as its the 1st time I have seen Billy and Bart actually speak in a long , long time. Then we get the slam of the week where we see Cornette cost Shawn Michaels the win against Vader , and he was Vader bombed.

In ring we see Vader ready to be interviewed by Vince McMahon. Its there we see Cornette claim he demanded this WWF World title match at the next PPV. Cornette claims that this is like when Shawn was in grade school and had to give the big bully his lunch money. The dream will end for Michaels soon at Summerslam and the next champion is Vader !

We get the funny Olympic promo for the 1996 Summerslam which was pretty funny. The main event is next as after Shawn and Ahmed come out , the Gunns run out in anger. They brawl in ring as the Gunns are soon knocked outta the ring. As Sunny tries to talk strategy and get her guys back into this , Shawn eases over and asks how she loved that cake baby.

Shawn is just on fire and doing his showboating and bragging as he sits up in the corner , taunts and teases the Smokin Gunns. We see a picture of Ahmed's nose bandage which Vince claims is him healing from a broken nose. Ahmed comes in and continues the ass kicking on the Gunns. It looks like Gunns will get some advantage as Shawn seems down as Bart is tagged in and misses a big elbow drop.

As the heels start to beat on Ahmed , he suddenly rallies back and nails a one handed type body slam with his power. He tags in Shawn who is on fire. Then in a cool wicked spot , Shawn goes up for a huricanrana and is dropped by both men throat first across the ropes. This has Bart yell and taunt Shawn as they work him over with some solid tag team moves.

The fans get behind Shawn and the entire place rallies for Shawn. It doesn't work as Billy throws Shawn with so much force , he goes flying over the turnbuckle. Shawn takes more of a beating as Billy Gunn taunts him. Ahmed finally makes the tag as the referee is distratced by Bart . We go to commercial as Jim Ross advertises the WWF Superstar Line. Will Summerslam be the Undertaker's last match ? I'd say....no.

Back from commercial as Shawn continues to take a beating by both men . Then suddenly as the Gunns get too confident , they try a double team move and Shawn stops it. Then the crowd goes insane as Ahmed Johnson makes the hot tag. He's destroying everyone until dumped over the top rope and suddenly....out comes some guy in a weird blue costume. He's jumped Ahmed Johnson outside the ring and laying a beating on him.

This leaves Shawn alone with both brothers in ring as he rallies to try and handle both of them. Meanwhile outside this guy misses a spot and is supposed to ram Ahmed back 1st into the ring post. Instead he slams him ass first. Lawler claims the man looks like Ron Simmons as he's quickly cut off as it is Ron Simmons once we see his face. Shawn comes outta the ring and kicks away Simmons.

Outside we see that Sunny has brought this guy in as he claims that from this day forward the kingdom belongs to her. So he's a Jehovah's Witness now ? Anyhow he looks insanely silly with the getup on.

The Bad - This RAW featured the debut of 3 guys and all 3 talented men were put into some really insane shitty gimmicks. Bill Irwin was made to dress as a comical evil Hockey player. Its pretty clear the Goon was inspired by Vince McMahon seeing Happy Gilmore and deciding he needed that character on WWF TV. Then you had Tracy Smothers who was a very solid in ring worker and Vince gave him a new name and pretty much did little with him. And finally he gets Ron Simmons and seemed ready to screw him up awhile.

Other than the Goldust/Horowitz squash match , this wasn't a bad RAW wrestling wise.

It had to hurt Candido's feelings that onscreen at this point Shawn Michaels was pretty much making out with his girlfriend , because behind the scenes she had left Candido to be with Shawn awhile. The two had a long affair behind the scenes that Sunny revealed later. So onscreen here was Shawn licking cake off her and more. It wasn't a good time I'm sure for him.

OVERALL : ***1/2 OUTTA 5. This RAW had an anything can happen vibe , long since missing for WWF. The opening match suddenly not happening and then coming later was a nice touch and it was something WCW was doing. You had guys clicking like Mankind , Brian Pillman and Steve Austin. This is the show Austin debuts his full catch phrase that would become legendary.
"The story so far: As usual, Ginger and I are engaged in our quest to find out what the hell is going on and save humanity from my nemesis, some bastard who is presumably responsible." - Sir Digby Chicken Caesar.
“ Well hell just froze over. Because CM Punk is back in the WWE.” - Jcogginsa.
“You can take the boy outta the mom’s basement, but you can’t take the mom’s basement outta the boy!” - LA Knight.

    WWF Monday Night RAW - July 29th , 1996

Your Hosts - Jerry Lawler & Vince McMahon

We see a replay by Vince McMahon who brings up the attack by Ron Simmons in his goofy getup. Ahmed suffered a ruptured kidney due to the attack. After the intro in ring is Justin Bradshaw waiting on Psycho Sid. Then we get Vader vs Mero , Henry Godwinn vs British Bulldog and finally Undertaker vs Steve Austin. But for now out comes Psycho Sid who has fans suddenly explode for him.

Sid does his crazy act and tells the fans ...HE'S THE MASTER....AND RULER OF THEIR WORLD NOW ! Bradshaw pushes and punches Sid , as this starts a punch battle the Psycho one wins. The fans explode as Sid grabs Bradshaw by his throat and signals the choke slam. Sid however is so concerned with talking to himself he doesn't notice Bradshaw grab his cowbell on the bull rope.

He gets DQ'd as him and Mantell (Zeb) start a beat down on Sid. Both get too cocky however and eat a double clothesline. Then Sid introduces him to his power bomb. He looks at Mantell as he smiles and signals it for him as fans go insane. He too eats a power bomb because he's a damn psycho. Sid blinks and looks into the camera , talking. Then Sid mouths...MASTER....AND RULER OF THE WORLD !!

Meanwhile in a split screen we see Sunny with Ron Simmons....ok...sorry his new WWF name is Faarooq Asad now. Faarooq is a modern day gladiator now because gladiators wear this crap. Simmons cuts a promo that he will learn proper respect for a woman now. He learned to fight on the street and that is why he gave him a beating he deserved.

Out comes Vader as we see replays of what happened at the last In Your House PPV where Jim Cornette helped him win. Marc Mero comes out as we see Sable looking even more hotter than usual. She could melt the ring in that outfit. Then we see Cornette on commentary as he mocks Sable for being a no good dog. He claims that Mero is Timmy and she is Lassie. '

Vader starts the match by being a bully and spitting on Marc Mero. After an exchange we see Mero start to get an advantage and then tries a crucifix pin on Vader who sloppily falls back and barely can roll over for it. Vader eventually uses his strength to take over. He beats on Mero as Vince McMahon brings up the RAW Invitational Battle Royal which will have Mero , Steve Austin , Undertaker and others to determine who gets the next WWF World title shot after Summerslam.

Sable pleads for her man ala Elizabeth used to and we see Vader taunt her. Leaving Mero to rally back and start a flurry of offense. With a powerful clothesline that knocks him and Vader over the top rope together and then once inside does a double ax handle off the top rope. He climbs up again and tries a off the top rope roll up pin as he did when he debuted and Vader fucks it up by being too heavy and not in right spot. Vader instead walks backwards as he tries to sit on Mero and fails.

Mero finally does too many high risk moves and is caught from the top rope in a power slam pin. Cornette then gets off commentary and demands that he wants to see Jose Lothario in ring right now to confront him. McMahon shows us clips of Clarence Mason discussing with Monsoon his superstar he wants to bring in. As Monsoon claims...was he not caught with a loaded weapon ? Was he not caught with a controlled substance ? And did he not serve some jail time ? Mason acts like its no big deal.

The Stridex Slam of the Week is Psycho Sid choke slamming and power bombing both Justin Bradshaw and Zeb minutes ago. After the Summerslam promo we see Cornette in ring with Lothario as a replay at the Free for All weeks earlier he was knocked on his ass. Cornette brings up why Lothario is here and his history with Shawn Michaels as we see him watching backstage. Then we see how Lothario is mocked for being a has been who never left Texas.

All Lothario does is nod and smile , not seeming to care as Cornette rants and raves like a nut. The fans just detest Cornette and finally after he calls Jose trash , he tells Jim he's gonna kick his butt. Then as he turns loose of a scared Jim Cornette and goes to leave , as Jim tries a sneak attack with his tennis racket and eats a punch as fans explode. Jose pretty much watches a hurt Cornette roll on his back to leave the ring. As this is happening backstage Shawn Michaels is jumped by ...Mankind !

We get a replay of what happened as Michaels is like hell yeah as his mentor lays out Cornette , we see Mankind jump him and lock in the mandible claw. Then this past week on WWF Superstars , we see Jerry lawler get too over confident and lose to Aldo Montoya. In ring is British Bulldog and Owen Hart as out comes Hillbilly Jim and Henry Godwinn.

On the split screen the King has asked for a rematch as Aldo accepts the challenge for next week. Lawler claims that Aldo is Jake's designated driver now. Aldo claims Jake has taught him to believe in himself and the DDT. And he'll beat him again. Owen Hart joins them for commentary as his Slammy is in front. On the screen scrolling as this match starts is that Sunny will be on A.O.L Online tomorrow night. She is the most downloaded celebrity on AOL. And she will be LIVE at 8pm Eastern.

Owen brings up how his team beat everyone at the last PPV as Henry Godwinn performs a face first type power bomb. Godwinn is in control of the match til he charges the turnbuckle and misses. Bulldog takes control and beats on him. Its during this we see Owen Hart being asked about Bret Hart. Then we see Owen diss Bret for being a crybaby and not able defeat. He puts over how he stays and fights on in the WWF and not walk away like a quitter. So let him live his own life and stop asking about his brother.

Then we see Owen claim he needs his cast for his broken wrist and that dirty wrestlers like Savio Vega target it , and its taking it longer to heal. Henry Godwinn tries to rally back and finally reverses a big suplex as we go to commercial. After it that however Henry's rally seems to have failed. Owen himself claims Bret is a washed up has been and couldn't handle Steve Austin. Its then Henry Godwinn has the upper hand and locks in the slop drop.

Owen walks over to where the bucket is and dumps it over which distracts Henry who has seen his magical urn of slop being dumped away. This gives Bulldog time to get up and level Henry and nail the running power slam for the pin. Henry stalks Owen who takes off from the ring. Then we cut to Mark Henry setting an American record for power lifting 903 pounds. A replay of him slamming the King back in March is shown.

    END OF PART #1

In ring is Stone Cold Steve Austin as he waits on Undertaker. Replays are shown of what happened at In Your House and leading to the big Boiler Room Brawl at Summerslam. Then we go to Mankind who cuts a promo seemingly after this brawl where he strokes the blond wig near his face and talks about how his mommy doesn't wanna be punished anymore. Goldust lies there as Mankind comforts him. Then after this he claims he can't control himself anymore...and starts smashing his head into a metal locker room. "HAVE A NICE DAY !!"

The Undertaker makes his way to the ring as Lawler claims a chill just went up his spine. At this same time this match is happening we see Mankind backstage in the boiler room. Before the match begins Austin extends his hand to shake as the Undertaker doesn't seem to be playing along and stalks him. Austin seconds into this match lays some punches on Taker and then tries to smash his head into the turnbuckle as Undertaker looks at him in anger as Austin goes ...UH OH.

This Undertaker is in anger as he rips into Austin and delivers a flying big clothesline. In a cool spot , Austin stops Undertaker's "old school" spot of walking the rope and dropping a big blow. The fans start a big RIP chant to revive the Dead Man. As he rallies back , Stone Cold does a sneaky low blow to get the advantage and delivers his stomp in the corner on the fallen guy. A fact Lawler names the move the 1st time..."Stompin a mudhole in someone and walkin it dry".

Austin is nailing all his trademark spots which he's worked into his character seemingly within months. Some fans actually start to cheer Austin in this . Then fans watch as Undertaker rallies back again. Then Undertaker locks him in the ropes and starts beating and kicking him. Doing a running kick at the end as the referee manages to free Stone Cold.

Then we see Stone Cold take control by dropping Dead Man across the ropes by his throat. Then we see Mankind walking through the boiler room on his way out. After a commercial the tide turns yet again as Undertaker tries to rally back. Then he gets nailed with a big pile driver by Stone Cold. Who bad mouths him and waits too long to climb the ropes. Austin is caught and crotched on the turnbuckle . Then Undertaker nails a choke slam from the top rope.

He's about to finish off Stone Cold with a tombstone as Mankind arrives standing up the ramp. Undertaker drops him and charges after Mankind. Brawling with him to the back as the referee counts him out. Awarding the match to Steve Austin. Its then we see Undertaker return in anger as he delivers the tombstone to Steve Austin for payback.

In ring McMahon interviews Undertaker who claims , At Summerslam its time for the Reaper to enter the Serpents Lair." He ends this brief promo with a claim that at the PPV he will....REST....IN...PEACE. The Show ends right there.

The Bad - Nothing against the matches , the opening match and Main event was entertaining as hell ...but the finishes was basically a DQ and count out. The mid-card matches basically were nothing special either and the entire show seemed like they were rushing to get everything done in an hour time limit they had.

Another bad aspect is ...too much Jim Cornette. For the end of 1995-1996 it seemed like with Cornette leading the booking , he had put himself as the main heel manager and leading a stable in countless PPV matches. It was starting to get boring after awhile. Of course Kevin Sullivan did the same exact deal in WCW as his Dungeon of Doom was the top heel stable from late 1994 to 1996. So I get the idea behind this. Sadly for Jim , his run at the top was coming to an end soon and Summerslam would be pretty much the end of Camp Cornette's guys in main events.

OVERALL : *** Outta 5. The opening match was fun to see Psycho Sid destroy 2 guys who crossed his path. Basically Sid was doing the same act and fans were just happy to see him act goofy insane and beat bad guys. This would be the logical extension for Vince's idea with future heel , face turns. You don't need to change the character as he did with Diesel. You let him do that same act and people will care. The Main event was also fun to watch as Undertaker/Steve Austin had a fun match where he seemed to have honed in all his Stone Cold spots he'd become known for as well.

    WWF Monday Night RAW - August 5th , 1996

Your Hosts - Jim Ross & Vince McMahon

RAW has the full intro start the show for the 1st time in awhile on this Monday Night. Vince welcomes us to the show and claims tonight the RAW Invitational Battle Royal will be tonight. Then suddenly a fresh voice of air comes across commentary ! Its Jim Ross ! He runs down the card in less than 2 minutes and makes it snappy and good.

Now I wonder , will Vince shift to color commentary since he clearly isn't as good at play by play as Ross ? Coming to the ring is Jerry Lawler. The King gets on the mic and has a bottle of liquor in a bag to slur and slam Jake Roberts. Lawler claims he should write a tell all book and asks Howard Finkel to back it up. But the Fink won't do that as Aldo comes to the ring as Lawler keeps talking...and talking.

Vince questions him on why he's doing this as he sits the Jim Beam liquor down. Then ribs him he will lose again by this way. Jim Ross questions if he will talk him to death or wrassle the guy. The King jumps him with a sneaky trick but Aldo is tearing soon into him and the fans go ape ****. He nearly nails Lawler with a 2nd DDT finisher but the King escapes.

Aldo is on fire until he tries a back body drop and caught in Lawler's pile driver finisher. Then the King nails a 2nd one to put down Aldo Montoya. Even Vince McMahon is stunned The King actually won due to his clownish behavior. He sucker punches Montoya post match and goes and gets the bottle of Jim Beam as he pours the whiskey down Aldo's throat ! The 1st time a WWF Superstar has had liquor on WWF TV. All to mock Jake Roberts. Post match he acts like he's been hitting the bottle to mock him.

After advertising the latest WWF VHS of PPV's , in ring is the New "Improved" Rockers as Jannetty puts it. Hillbilly Jim is out on commentary as the Body Donna's are out (without Kloudy) . Jannetty and Cassidy hide behind the RAW sign and catch Skip and Zip coming through the entrance way. The Rockers take the quick heel advantage as Hillbilly Jim adds really nothing to this match as Jim Ross is forced to do color and rarely say a word.

Backstage with Sunny is Faarooq Asad in his goofy ass helmet and attire. Somewhere Vince thought this was a good idea. Anyhow next week he faces Skip in singles action. Sunny claims her new man measures up and rubs on him as Simmons looks uncomfortable with her touching him like this. Faarooq gets on the mic and claims he's the King of the Jungle out there.

Zip rallies back as the Body Donnas take control of the match and Skip works awhile using a rest hold. Then Marty nails a rocker dropper on Skip. In another great spot a couple minutes later , Skip nails a monster clothesline and climbs the ropes to nail a flying head butt. Then Skip gets too cocky and tries a frankensteiner on Marty as him and Leif , throat drop him across the top rope. Outside the ring Cassidy nails a swinging neck breaker on the floor !

The New Rockers both execute a nice great double team move into the turnbuckle as Skip plays the face in peril role in this tag team match. Hillbilly Jim proclaims that Phineas has seen the light where it concerns that devious Sunny. A split screen shows Gorilla Monsoon making a decision on Clarence Mason's attempt to bring someone into the WWF.

Monsoon agrees to reinstate his client , but under very close scrutiny of himself and officials. The man has his back to the camera , but Jim Ross claims he's a pretty tall man. Skip nearly makes the tag but Cassidy stops him from making the hot tag twice thus far. This match has been pretty solid. The New Rockers look in control as both are battering the Body Donna's. Then Marty throws Zip into the ropes as Leif gets crotched on the turnbuckle. Skip looks ready to nail his finisher as outta the back comes the Smokin Gunns !

The Gunns and Rockers beat on the Body Donna's as finally the Godwinns make the save. At Summerslam all 4 teams will be facing each other for the WWF World tag team titles. Vince then shows a replay of what happened to Shawn Michaels when Vader delivered a Vader Bomb at the last PPV on him and how Mankind jumped him the next night. In an interview earlier today we see Michaels talk to Kevin Kelly.

He questions if Shawn's world is caving in , but as Shawn protests he's always had things against him and he will fight on. But that is the thing , he can be beaten any night of the week. He just has to do what he can. A size disadvantage is brought up and its questioned if this is the end of the boyhood dream. Michaels claims he waited 11 years for this and he will not go down so easily to give it up.

Then the big question about Bret Hart and the controversy about his win at Wrestlemania 12. Shawn claims he wants Bret Hart to return to challenge him again. He puts over how without the Hitman , its like the peanut butter without the jelly. At the end Shawn claims he feels he's pretty much the best superstar right now who can not only answer a challenge of a 400+ pound man at a PPV , but turn around the next night and defend the belt again !

We see Shawn doing some shows and shooting footage with the Kliq Cam. Part of me wonders if Michaels still has those tapes of that. Then we hear the music hit as Mankind comes out . The ring has a lot of superstars around it. Coming back from his ruptured kidney is...Ahmed Johnson for this. Then we get Goldust and Psycho Sid as fans go ape ****. Sid stares around the ring half bonkers. Then the Undertaker's music hits and he races to the ring !

He quickly goes after Mankind to destroy him. Its the fastest I have ever seen him run. The battle royal starts as everyone waits til those 2 clash and get in slowly. In a quick funny moment , both Undertaker eliminates himself and Mankind ! Ahmed in quick fashion throws out British Bulldog as this battle royal continues. Vince quickly brings up the best selling point of Summerslam....the Free for All with the Bikini Beach Blastoff party where you can see Sunny , Sable and Marlena in bikini's.

Justin Bradshaw goes over next as Goldust tries to eliminate Ahmed. But he's saved by Savio Vega as Jim Ross questions the wisdom of this idea. In a comical spot , Owen Hart tries to skin the cat ala Shawn Michaels after nearly being thrown out. He gets too cocky and points to himself as Mero delivers a clothesline , knocking him over the top rope , eliminating him.

After the Stridex Slam of the Week , we see Savio get a running power slam by Bulldog for the pin. Comically Owen claims he's gonna go celebrate with Diana and bring his Slammy. While Perfect claims Savio ran into Cornette's tennis racket.

In ring after the commercial , Vince claims no one was eliminated at all from this. Then Mero tries a high risk move and gets body dumped over the top rope as Mero charges him. Then Vega tries the same deal. In the crowd brawling is Undertaker and Mankind. They brawl back into the ring as Jim Ross claims they have fought all over the building ! Then they brawl outta the ring to the crowd again. The final 4 is Ahmed Johnson , Steve Austin , Psycho Sid and Goldust.

McMahon claims that Ahmed is in the match against Doctor's orders due to his kidney and works on. Johnson will face Faarooq at Summerslam as it will be for the IC Title. Austin nearly eliminates Ahmed and works him over. Then in some weird move , Psycho Sid saves Johnson . Austin rallies back against Sid as Jim Ross puts over how Austin wants his 1st shot at the WWF World Title. Seconds later we see Ahmed deliver the IMPACT SPINEBUSTER !

At commercial we see Undertaker destroying Mankind some more. Then we see Sid deliver the Psycho Power Bomb to Goldust. Minutes later he delivers one to Steve Austin. Goldust seconds later delivers a curtain call onto Ahmed. Then Vince takes us backstage as Undertaker body slams Mankind onto some metal floor as the referees try and stop this. Mankind finally manages to seemingly escape by rolling free from the vengeance of the Undertaker !

Jim Ross advertises Shawn Michaels vs Owen Hart next week on RAW. Back in ring out comes Bulldog and Owen who distract Sid by taunting him. This allows Austin to attack him and knock him over. Psycho Sid then takes off after those two. While this leaves Goldust , Austin and Ahmed. At first the two heels seem to form a bond to work together. Then Goldust turns on Stone Cold and nearly eliminates him.

Austin gets his revenge by delivering a low blow and takes him down as fans pop for that. Then in a nice deal we see Goldust use his brains as we see him help Ahmed eliminate Steve Austin. Now its down to two as fans go ape **** as Ahmed points at Goldust and you know the bizarre one is in a land of hurt now. Ahmed's nose is again bleeding but he doesn't seem to mind.

This starts off with Goldust trying some punches and eating some damn fists. Goldust is able to get a blow in and stop Ahmed from beating him senseless. He delivers a pile driver but wastes time by doing his weird posing ritual , as Ahmed slugs him and locks in a hard rest hold. Both men somehow comically ends up colliding into the ropes. Ahmed hooks the ropes but Goldust can't and he goes over 1st. Ahmed Johnson will face the WWF World champion in 2 weeks !

Ahmed stands tall in ring as fans pop for him. The biggest achievement for him thus far. The new #1 contender to the WWF World title. Vince McMahon gets in ring as fans cheer as he brings up that Johnson will face either Shawn Michaels or Vader. He's sad because if its him , he's gotta do what he's gotta do. Perform at the top of his ability even if its against a close friend. But if its Vader...oh he smiles ...he's gonna enjoy it , before Ahmed can say anything else out runs Faarooq ! The two start to brawl as referees stop it. The show ends here.

The Bad - Its hard to be interested in an opening match with Jerry Lawler vs Aldo Montoya. But the WWF tried its best by having Lawler pull his usual heel antics.

The tag team match , it would have been nice to see a winner of that one. Both teams were doing a solid match and it really showed. Shame it ended by DQ.

OVERALL : **** Outta 5. Beyond a not so interesting opening match , RAW was pretty damn good. The change at announcing clicked as Jim Ross breathed life into a stale RAW broadcast. The tag team match and main event battle royal was just fun to watch. The brawl all over the arena , back into the ring is something ECW would do and I think possibly Vince was inspired by that. Then we had the ascent of Ahmed Johnson to get a WWF World title shot. Sadly for Ahmed however....he actually did suffer a legit kidney injury !

The WWF planned a storyline where Faarooq would hurt him but he'd return to wrestle. During the match new voice overs was done to sell that he was competing against doctors orders. As days later his kidney injury was real !

    WWF Monday Night RAW - August 12th , 1996

Your Hosts - Jerry Lawler & Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon starts this RAW off discussing Ahmed Johnson's injury (real life) after the planned worked injury angle he was running. We see him in the emergency room getting surgery as well as recovering at home with a female nurse wrapping his kidney. Vince claims that if the bleeding returns , Ahmed may have to have one of his kidney's removed. He wishes Ahmed Johnson a full and happy recovery. (He'd be out 4 months due to this)

Sunny comes out with Faarooq as Lawler nearly faints seeing Sunny. If Bo Derek is a 10 , then Sunny is a 12. We see Sunny diss Skip (who she 1st managed) as Faarooq jumps him and starts man handling him around the ring. Later we will get an interview from Ahmed from Texas. Vince plugs the rest of RAW and then reveals we will get the future of Bret Hart as he will reveal what he plans to do in the WWF.

Lawler claims that Monsoon should strip Johnson of the IC Title. In ring Faarooq is still putting a beat down on Skip. At Summerslam , Jake Roberts will face Jerry Lawler . As Faarooq is being so over confident , he nearly gets rolled up in a pin. He then goes back to kicking ass as he delivers one power slam , then delivers another one. Then he picks up Skip and delivers a weird variation of a power bomb landing Skip on his face. Faarooq still looks like a friggen idiot in his getup.

Last week Lawler has clips of what we see him do to Aldo Montoya. Pouring whiskey down Aldo's mouth. On the phone is Jake who says everyone has its limit and he's reached his with Lawler. Then as Lawler starts to diss Jake for having reached his limit to drive , the WWF cuts to a commercial. We return from it as in ring is Savio Vega. Clarence Mason reveals his talent he represented in bringing into the WWF.

Its CRUSH ! Yes the former blond haired surfer is now black haired and wearing corn rolls. He has tats on his face n neck and looks like a hardcore sob. McMahon claimed when they last saw Crush he was no where like this. But he's been hardened due to where he's been. Crush is just destroying Vega. In one spot outside the ring , he picks up Vega and rams him shoulder 1st into the ring post.

Crush however moves so slow and methodically its like he's trying to remember how to work a match in ring at times. Vega rallies back finally and nails a face first slam into the match. Crush nails a nice leg drop which is likely his best move thus far in the match. Vince brings up that Crush is no longer Hawaii's favorite son anymore. Vega nearly gets a roll up pin as we go to commercial.

Once we return from commercial this match is still going on as Mason brings up him being a manager of his own talent isn't a conflict of interest with Jim Cornette. Suddenly Mason declares an objection and more legal terms is used. Vega misses flying side kick on Crush and gets thrown shoulder 1st into the ring post and then Crush locks in the full nelson submission hold. As Savio passes out finally. Post match he shares a high five with Mason. Who does a victory type celebration.

McMahon shows a clip of last weeks RAW where Mankind and Undertaker brawled all over. Then a promo for Summerslam airs as how both Undertaker and Mankind are so similar and yet so different. Darkness and light ....the Boiler Room Brawl. Sunny discusses the naked truth and promotes her hot bikini at poolside. As we see her behind a screen showing off her body as she removes and adds clothing. At the end she peeks her head around the side and asks if she can be the Queen and sit at the royal chair at Bikini Beach Blastoff. The King claims she could sit on his royal throne anytime she wants !

Then we see Vince show clips of 2 weeks earlier where Sunny had Faarooq jump Ahmed , then last week we see Ahmed win the Battle Royal to get a shot at the WWF World title. Then we see what happened days after that taping as Ahmed had kidney surgery. Kevin Kelly interviews Johnson as he claims the mental pain is worse than the physical pain.

Ahmed reveals that his stomach felt weird as hot and cold pains rain through it and he was lucky to get surgery and be alive. The injury he claims was worse when Stone Cold kicked him in the kidney. Ahmed doesn't know if he will ever return or not. Back in ring the dream team of T.L. Hopper and Who (Jim Neidhart) wait on the next challenger. Both men will face the Godwinns as suddenly out comes Bob Backlund as he's campaigning. Bob acts dusturbed as usual and seems confused to shake Lawler's hand or not. Then confused to even sit and put a headset on to do commentary.

Eventually he does sit and do commentary. In ring Who looks pretty goofy in his yellow tights , boots and mask (as he's not in good shape at all). The Godwinns are working over him and he makes a tag to T.L. Hopper. Backlund claims that he is looking for a man to take the title from a man who is having a bad effect on today's society. That children are watching this man , then Backlund rants about the school system ! McMahon looks on confused as this is happening. Then the craziest line happens as he rants... "They will teach our children not to how get aids. By making them wear condominiums !"

Eventually Backlund stands up after his ranting as he leaves commentary. After this Vince goes to a split screen where we see Gorilla Monsoon who sadly due to Ahmed Johnson's injury has vacated the Intercontinental Title. He has held up the title and won't award Faarooq the belt because of his actions did this. Monsoon claims a tournament will be held soon. Then we see a preview of Bret Hart talking with Curt Henning as they are on a ship.

Henning claims that a lot of people are asking when he'll return. He's a 3 time WWF World Champion , 2 time IC Champion. A young fan asks when he'll return. On a cruise ship people ask. He is enjoying the time off and claims he will come in 1-2 months and deliver a statement. If he's back...he'll say it. If not he will thank the fans and be content.

In ring we see Owen Hart as he has his Slammy Award. He waits on Shawn Michaels who will be facing Hart in the main event. We see clips of wrestlers in action as the WWF calls it Friday Night Fever. Mark Henry was there and put Helmsley on his ass quick. McMahon brings up that Shawn will be defending the WWF World title in less than a weeks time and then we see a clip of Shawn on the set of Baywatch and a shot of Pamela Anderson (she was smoookin then) !

The match starts quick as both men do some reverses and then we see Owen just reach out and slap Shawn in the face. This starts the fast paced match as Shawn does a nice leg sweep on Owen. Seconds later Owen thinks he threw Shawn over the top rope but HBK skins the cat and locks a head scissors and throws him over the top rope in a cool spot.

Shawn takes control of the match and even avoid Owen trying to use the cast on him. During the match Shawn gets too cocky and Owen catches him , finally taking control of the match. He locks in a rest hold and after Shawn tries to rally , he gets a flying clothesline and nearly gets a pin. Owen stays in control and delivers some pretty solid technical moves as he climbs the top rope and delivers a pin point drop kick.

We get the Stridex Slam of the Week where Psycho Sid plants Jannetty with the Psycho bomb. Back in ring Michaels avoids an enziguri by Owen , and rallies back with the flying forearm and elbow from the sky. He then strikes up the band for sweet chin music. Vader runs down and tries to get involved. Michaels drop kicks him off the ring apron. Then he nails Owen with a missed spot in the stomach with sweet chin music. Owen is quick to play along and lets Shawn deliver one better for the pin.

Post match Vader grabs a chair and wants to hit Michaels as Shawn grabs off the cast that Owen has. To use it on Vader. Cornette tosses in the tennis racket to Owen who gets slowly up and ready to lay him out. Shawn delivers another super kick to him and takes the tennis racket and lays into him. He hits Vader but the numbers are too much as Vader gets him. He delivers 2 Vader bombs as referees try and stop him. Then he climbs up for a 3rd one as the show ends !

The Bad - Unlike last weeks RAW that was pretty damn good , this show really didn't have much of anything to be pleased over. The 1st two squash matches weren't anything special as Ron Simmons was looking like an idiot in his getup. It was hard to take someone serious claiming they were from the streets , when you look like your wearing a kids Halloween outfit.

Then we had the squash tag team match and the Godwinns were challenged by Jim Neidhart in a silly outfit and T.L. Hopper. Its was some bad ideas. When your RAW's main selling point is Sunny possibly showing off her hot body behind a screen ...its not a good deal.

OVERALL : **1/2 Outta 5. Shawn Michaels basically made this RAW worth watching in the main event. But nothing else was good as the show featured the return of Crush who moved so slow and prodding his match lasted way too long. Anyhow this sadly wasn't a good day for Ahmed. As posted above , he would be out 4 months. By the time he returned , the WWF would be a drastically different company than the one he was out and his push sadly was gone.

    WWF Monday Night RAW - August 19th , 1996

Your Hosts - Jim Ross , Kevin Kelly & Jerry Lawler

Vince McMahon shows pictures of the Undertaker/Mankind battle. Where they brawled backstage to the ring. Then we see the shocking image of Paul Bearer turning on the Undertaker. After RAW begins we get the surprising spot of seeing a 3 man announce booth for this RAW in Wheeling , WV. Maybe Vince decided to do what WCW was doing with it.

The British Bulldog comes to the ring as Kelly's the main announcer getting a try out it seems. We see that the Intercontinental Title tournament has began to crown a new champion. Gorilla Monsoon has made Bulldog face Owen Hart in this. Both men shake hands and act respectful towards each other. Lawler isn't happy its brother-in-law vs brother.

Owen at first gets knocked outta the ring , then a couple minutes later Bulldog does as well. Soon as the match rolls along , the Bulldog soon takes control using his strength and power. He even uses a big gorilla press slam. Then suddenly some weird static begins after they mentioned the Undertaker. It clears up as you have to wonder what is ahead and suddenly Owen turns the ride and rallies back and gets caught in the turnbuckle , then Bulldog nails his finisher. But Owen puts his foot on the ropes.

Out comes Sunny as Bulldog isn't happy to see her. She sits at the loaded announce booth to claim as a manager she'd be out there. Cornette joins us on the split screen as he's backstage and stressed. He claims the WWF is trying to still break his group up as he can't be out there since it would be like his 2 kids fighting. Then he brings up how Clarence Mason is slipping through the back door trying to get his talent. At the end he brings up being the manager of Yokozuna again as he faces Shawn Michaels for the WWF World title shot tonight.

In ring Owen locks in the sharpshooter finisher on Bulldog. Jim Ross at 1st by mistake calls the move a scorpion deathlock due to years in WCW. Then seconds later after I'm sure Vince yelled in his headset he calls the move a sharpshooter. This broadcast is live , so they can't edit it out. Owen slaps Bulldog as soon both men start brawling as Owen dumps Bulldog to the floor.

Then in a cool move British Bulldog is almost suplexed into the ring. But the Bulldog reverses it and suplexes Owen outside the ring. Then Bulldog is knocked outside the ring and can't beat the count back into the ring as Owen wins. As the Bulldog goes to get to his feet , suddenly Sunny throws a cold drink in his face which pisses him off as he yells at her. Things are going wild as Owen joins him and Sunny is ripping the Bulldog , accusing him of looking up her skirt and being a pervert.

This brings Jim Cornette out who isn't at all happy and during the argument he calls Sunny a slut. Cornette warns her to not stick her nose in his business again. Sunny keeps accusing Bulldog as we see the events of 4 weeks ago where Faarooq attacked Ahmed Johnson and injured him. Ahmed vows to return and not his fans of the WWF down.

After that we see Mark Henry signing autographs for kids. Lawler isn't happy with Henry and asks why he's got a camera on him. Vader's music hits as Kelly and Ross announce he's signed a new long term deal with the WWF. (more on that soon)

Lawler claims that Vader won the WWF World Title twice last night. Jim Ross corrects him and claims he won once by count out and a 2nd time by DQ. Then outside the ring Vader shows off his big arms to Henry who isn't impressed at all and keeps signing autographs. In once in ring he starts to destroy Freddie Joe Floyd (aka Tracy Smothers) . Floyd tries to clothesline Vader and bounces off like a fly.

Cornette joins the loaded announce booth and claims that its confirmed he will manage Yokozuna who is turning heel again it appears. Vader makes short work of Floyd when he nails a Vader bomb. Then pulls up Floyd one more. Suddenly the screen starts to cut off and the lights go on and off. Vader nails another bomb and wins this squash match. Cornette warns everyone...including Sunny to stay outta his way.

A cool bunch of video spots is shown for Summerslam 1996 and its pretty damn good. Its to advertise the encore broadcast for fans to order. Then in ring Jim Ross waits for Mankind and Paul Bearer. Lawler wishes for Mankind to put the mandible claw on Ross since he doesn't like a know it all. Jim Ross brings up the most vicious match that both men had done where they fought on concrete floors and more. That Bearer turned on Undertaker and why he destroyed the legacy.

Bearer claims he is sick and tired of bein sick and tired of being abused by Undertaker. Then Bearer claims that he carried the man for 6 years to the WWF World Title. The lights start to go on and off as Bearer claims its not the spirit of the Undertaker , its the power Mankind has of the urn. Then Mankind tells Ross he's the happiest he's ever been in PAIN. He loves the pain ! He will face Shawn Michaels at In Your House - Mind Games PPV soon.

"Not only do I have the chance to make him the most un-sexy boy toy of all-time now , but I can destroy the Kliq !" Mankind then claims he will put Shawn Michaels on a trip to a hospital bed. The lights go on and off more as Jim Ross claims its the spirit of the Undertaker as Paul Bearer and Mankind both act scared at 1st , but suddenly Bearer claims its not him. Its the power Mankind has.

As Bearer claims he's gone for eternity the bell chimes as the fans have lights lit as the screen goes dark. Then some druids appear carrying the Undertaker to the ring. Mankind claims that Undertaker liked to play Mind Games and it fits the next PPV. Bearer brags that Undertaker will never rest in peace. That he's in torment with worms and maggots. That the Undertaker is nothing without Paul Bearer as he claims this is the corpse of Undertaker. He wants everyone to bow their heads and say good-bye.

But suddenly the Undertaker sits up in anger. He raises his hands as fire shoots from the ring posts as both men run like hell from this. The anger of the Undertaker is back as he is alone now. His eyes roll back as he does his signature pose as Lawler questions where his eyes could be. After this we go to a video vignette for someone by a camp fire. He's called the Stalker. And he's on his way to the WWF. He's wearing camo and seems to be into hunting. Kelly reveals its "The Stalker , Barry Windham".

In ring is Savio Vega as Goldust arrives. This is the Final Four Battle Royal. The winner of this will meet the WWF World Champion on Friday , September 6th for Championship Friday. A special edition of RAW . On the split screen he claims death shouldn't be final and it won't be tonight , cause Stone Cold Says So ! Psycho Sid is out next as all 4 men were the ones left when Ahmed Johnson won the last tournament. But now its sudden death now.

All 3 men triple team the Psycho one who is eliminated. This pisses off the insane Sid who comes back into ring and choke slams all 3 men as fans pop for that. The referees finally get him to leave. They then double team Savio Vega until Austin pays back Goldust for last time as he catches him from behind. Then we see Marc Mero's "slam of the week" where last night he nailed a shooting star press he calls "The Wild Thing". Yet another finishing move for the guy.

Now all 3 men are battling each other as Goldust at the commercial nearly went out. In a cool spot he nails a super plex off the top rope on Austin. Vega nearly tosses Goldust out again. Austin is tossed over as the referee tries to stop him but he's back in and Savio Vega throws him over again. This time he's fully eliminated but an angry Stone Cold comes into the ring and nails Savio from behind.

Its now down to Savio Vega and Goldust. As they battle , Goldust wins the match and will face Shawn Michaels on September 6th. Post match him and Marlena celebrate and she seemingly almost rubs his face against her breasts. Then we get a replay of clips for Summerslam 1996 encore broadcast.

Backstage is Jim Cornette as he waits and smiles. Cornette claims he has Owen , Bulldog and Vader there. But he won't need them. He has a 660+ pound man ready for him. Jim Ross questions how he got Yokozuna back after what happened. Kevin Kelly seems to have disappeared as Jim Ross has taken completely over as he finally chimes in as we see clips of Austin beating Yokozuna at the Free for All when the ring ropes gave away.

Shawn Michaels comes out strutting and ready as he does a pose. He doesn't seem worried over facing a near 700 pound guy. Shawn is giving up nearly 400+ pounds to Yokozuna as he bounces off him in a cross body block. Then after Yoko hits him , Shawn bounces off the ropes , slides under him and nails some punches on the shaking Yokozuna. He nearly falls and finally...with a last punch knocks him over.

In a comical spot Shawn tries a head butt and pays the price. Outside the ring Cornette has arrived and jumps Jose Lothario from behind. Shawn sees this and stops it and as he's distracted Yokozuna pounces on him. Shawn gets nailed with a big belly to bell slam. Minutes later in a cool spot as Shawn rallies he sets up sweet chin music as Yokozuna catches it and nails a Samoan Drop.

Seconds later , Yokozuna misses a monster leg drop as Shawn is up quick and nails a super kick finisher for the win. Then RAW ends as Shawn never gets to do his in ring celebration.

The Bad - Kevin Kelly just fizzled out as the main announcer. The idea seems to be they were trying to see what jelled on RAW announce wise. It clearly wasn't Kelly who disappeared for like 5 minutes as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler took over. His bland announcing didn't help either as he didn't have the sizzle to sell the steak as Jim Ross would say.

This RAW was live and well...in a rush in some spots as we can see. The matches with vignettes may have went too long as the WWF World title match didn't last long at all. In fact the match lasted 6 minutes. There was no build of suspense at all in this and at one point even I wondered what the point of teasing Cornette was , just to have him attack a 60+ year old guy.

OVERALL : *** outta 5. The opening match was pretty good , as we got to see Owen Hart vs British Bulldog. Its just the rest of the show stumbled badly. The show just had too many things beyond the matches with promos of Summerslam , looks back at weeks ago etc etc. The best parts was that 1st match and the Undertaker/Mankind spot. RAW was gonna air on September 6th because Vince McMahon was getting his ass destroyed by WCW at this stage. So USA Network decided to try out a new time slot on Friday as an attempt to stop the bleeding. Meaning RAW Would not be airing on August 26th , giving WCW yet another ratings win.

WWF Monday Night RAW - September 9th, 1996

YOUR HOSTS - Kevin Kelly & Jim Ross

A vignette airs bragging up what a great strong , courageous and daring a champion Shawn Michaels is. Then they go to Goldust who is vile , digusting and evil. That unlike Michaels , his battle ground is the mind and how he plays games with people. We may have to call Goldust champion after tonight . This is championship Friday. Or as the USA Network is calling it...trying RAW on a new night as WCW's kicking its ass.

In ring waits Hunter Hearst Helmsley as fans go insane for Psycho Sid. The deranged Sid is doing his usual act as he screams out at the fans and being a complete psycho. After a failure 2 weeks earlier Kevin Kelly is out to announce more . Anyhow we get a clip of Helmsley losing his lovely valets who see Mr. Perfect and take off quick with him. One named Kimberly is out with him tonight.

Jim Ross runs down the rest of Championship Friday (aka testing a new timeslot) RAW. Hunter can't seem to equal the power of the insane Sid until he bends over to flip Helmsley and is caught in a spinning neck breaker. But Helmsley plays too long and does his signature taunt and Sid revives seconds later. Sid then comes out and with a quick move , choke slams him with one hand and no effort. Then as Sid acts more psycho and does his hand ...the fans demand the Psycho bomb. Which he does finally.

Mr. Perfect comes and takes yet another woman from Helmsley post match. As a groggy Hunter gets up and realizes his woman is gone. Perfect smiles as he escorts the woman to the back. Kelly takes us to the latest on Ahmed Johnson and his kidney surgey. His doctor claims that Ahmed has a chance to return 100% like he was. Ahmed claims his return is in his mind and he wants to come back and compete.

Jim Ross pledges to break the biggest story in WWF history. The biggest in his career folks. Its coming later. Out comes Steve Austin to compete in the ring as Brian Pillman , the Loose Cannon arrives. Pillman pledges something big tonight as well. Something to scoop every so called journalist (as a dig at J.R) and it concerns Bret Hart. He later brings up how he was trained by Bret Hart's family and broke in there. All the answers will be given at Mind Games he claims.

Austin is facing Wildman Marc Mero in the tournament and winner moves onto the finals. In a spot to start Austin does the silly wildman pose that Mero does. Both men nearly get near falls on each other as things go quick . Sable is looking hot as usual at ringside. Jim Ross informs us as Mero and Austin battle that backstage , officials had to separate Helmsley and Perfect.

Mero is moving quick and suddenly Stone Cold drops him across the ropes with a stun gun. Austin misses the forearm off the 2nd rope he does as a trademark move which Mero takes advantage of. Soon Mero is in control and working Austin over and nearly gets another couple near pin falls. But seconds later Austin dumps him through the ropes. Mero tries to do a shoulder block into Austin as he's on the apron , but Stone Cold throws the referee into the way as he takes it and calls for a DQ.

Post match Austin delivers a stone cold stunner. The referee awards the match to Mero as a not too happy Austin is pissed in ring. He holds up his fingers to symbolize he's #1 . A pissed Mero gets back into ring as they brawl against each other. WWF officials and referees get into the ring to keep them apart. After a commercial we get the Foot Action Slam of the Week. Its Psycho Sid delivering the psycho bomb onto Helmsley. Bill Cowher taking a football to the head in the commercial was a nice touch.

Out comes Mark Henry as he's signed a WWF deal at this stage. Jerry Lawler mocks him and acts to be doing some weird dancing. Then he tells a horrible joke that isn't good at all. Claiming Jake Roberts at Summerslam and Olympics have 2 things in common....both got bombed. Ugh....then we see how Henry stopped Lawler from pouring alcohol down Robert's mouth at Summerslam. Then 2 weeks earlier he got in Vader's face.

Lawler then challenges Henry to a wrestling match. That he's joined the World Wrestling Federation , not the street fighting federation. Henry claims he just signed and doesn't have the pro wrestling training yet , but he will. Then Lawler starts taunting Henry , claiming he should get a gold medal for being a coward and more. This pisses off Henry who grabs a scared Lawler and accepts the challenge as he tells Lawler ..."This will be one gold medal butt kicking after I'm done with you !" Lawler gulps as he may have went too far.

Paul Bearer brings out Mankind who is competing against Alex Porteau "aka The Pug" who as we saw weeks earlier is a jobber. During this match we hear Jim Ross make the Earth shattering news.... Diesel and Razor Ramon are on their way back ! Ross claims his sources have told him that Big Daddy Cool and The Bad Guy are on their way back to the WWF. He has had those sources for years.

Porteau is getting destroyed and soon gets the mandible claw locked on. Ross announces that Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle was visiting WWF HQ recently and could be signing soon. Post match Mankind and Bearer celebrate as Mankind gets the power of the urn. Then during the special Olympics , Sid was asked to compete in a tug of war with an elephant. Its a very sweet spot as Sid loses but the special olympics athletes decided to help him with Sid's encouragement . They moved the elephant.

We see Shawn Michaels , Undertaker and others do a meet and greet with 15,000+ people. Then we get an event that happened at the stadium with 23,000+ people and ...Roddy Piper shows up. Piper surprised everyone by showing up there as he wasn't scheduled for it. We see the Toronto event was a success for fans and everyone.

In ring is Mr. Bob Backlund who has the mic and claims he is bringing back the man who will win the WWWF Championship. But he is bringing out this man to mentor the man he chooses. Out comes a man he admires , he believes in.... The Iron Sheik ! Ross is stunned since Sheik beat Backlund back in 1983. They share an embrace and kisses on cheek. Sheik brags up his cred on being an Olympic athlete in his past (he was) and how he won the WWWF World Title back in 1983 (he did). The fans are less than pleased at this.

The WWF promotes a new fall season on September 21st and 22nd in a weird promo. Now its time for the main event as Goldust comes to the ring. Undertaker cuts a promo claiming he's gonna come for vengeance against him soon. After that out comes Shawn Michaels who has everyone trying to mug him as Jim Ross claims he's like a rock star. Bigger than a rock star even !

Right after Michaels removes his chaps , Goldust tries to jump him . But Michaels is ready as he dumps him over the top rope quick. Shawn tries to quicken the pace and nearly gets caught. In a cool spot in the corner as Michaels pounds on Goldust , he climbs up him and does a monkey flip with ease. But Shawn's over cocky demeanor soon gets him caught as the bizarre one catches him seconds later with a fist to the jaw.

Goldust takes control and drops him over the railing outside the ring. Marlena rubs and blows cigar smoke in his face. As Goldust works over Shawn , we see Mankind backstage as he taunts "the sexy boy....I have a surprise for yoooou." He laughs so insane. Jim Ross plugs the Diesel/Razor news with more coming on the WWF Superstar line.

Shawn starts to rally back and nails the flying forearm , kips up and then climbs the rope for a cross body. Goldust reverses it and nearly pins Michaels as we go to commercial. We see a promo for In Your House - Mind Games as the vignette asks us to pray that Shawn can end the insanity of Mankind. Or pray for Shawn as he clashes with him.

Back from commercial , Shawn sets for sweet chin music on Goldust. Marlena gets up on the apron distracting him and everyone. This allows Goldust to nail Shawn , throwing him into the turnbuckle. He nearly delivers a curtain call , but Shawn reverses it and runs to the turnbuckle. Then in an odd finish ...Shawn nauls a moonsault and pins him that way !

The fans pop like crazy as Jim Ross claims this is how Shawn finished off Vader weeks earlier at Summerslam. Mankind runs from the crowd as he gets up Goldust as the two prepare to beat down Shawn. They come at him in the corner as he slips past em as Shawn stands outside the ring. Paul Bearer smiles as he seems to have a plan in store perhaps for Shawn at Mind Games.

The Bad - This RAW again was weird for the fact it aired on Friday as USA Network decided to try it in a new time slot. Anyhow as far as the show goes the biggest news was the debut signing of Mark Henry and the announcement Ross made. Anyhow lets go to Henry.

Its been said Vince signed Henry to a ridiculous contract (10 years) and huge money , then soon friggen regretted it quick. Henry really beyond being an Olympic strong man and being huge really didn't demonstrate why Vince would sign someone to such a big deal. His mic skills wasn't that good as tonight showed. The company had to get Henry over as a face it seems and was gonna feed him Lawler in his 1st program.

Jim Ross meanwhile claimed he had news that Razor and Diesel were on their way back. Its one of those ....whoa ...WTF ? Anyhow as Kevin Nash would reveal years later on a Legends Round table with Jim Ross , the moment he said that....Bischoff called them. WCW officials were scared and actually have them a half million dollar bonus and better deals on merch sales. Because they thought it was real. It wasn't and the WWF was about to piss off a lot of the audience with what was ahead.

OVERALL : *** outta 5. Austin/Mero was pretty ok and the Michaels/Goldust match seemed to promote the PPV match ahead with Mankind. Instead of a good singles match. It seemed sadly rushed yet again near the end and seeing Shawn finish someone off with a moonsault is weird. Not a terrible RAW , this one will be remembered for when Jim Ross made that special announcement on Diesel and Razor Ramon.

    WWF Monday Night RAW - September 9th , 1996

Your Hosts - Jim Ross , Kevin Kelly & Jerry Lawler

Tonight as Jim Ross promotes the battle for the Intercontinental Championship heats up. Faarooq will face Savio Vega in the final 2nd round matchup. The winner will move onto the finals. Ahmed pledges whoever wins whether its Faarooq , Savio , Owen ...whoever wins will have hell to pay once he gets back. The Dead Man also returned and showed he is not dead as Paul Bearer claimed.

Coming to the ring is Sunny in front of Faarooq , as she is wearing an open blouse showing off her breasts in a bra. I am not kidding folks , the WWF at this stage clearly was pushing slowly further with some elements of sex. The announcers promote tonights show as Shawn Michaels and Jose Lothario will be talking tonight. The Undertaker will be alone on TV for the 1st time in action and the debut of .."The Stalker" Barry Windham.

Savio gives no f--ks for Faarooq and shoves him and they nearly start to fight right before the bell. It finally begins as Simmons takes control to start it using his strength. Vega even tries a cross body and is caught with ease. Its hard to take Faarooq serious with his getup as Vega rallies back with a side kick , but it doesn't last long as he gets planted hard with a spine buster !

After commercial Faarooq is still dominating the match as Sunny grabs his feet and helps him with leverage on a rest hold. Savio rallies back and nails a drop kick but yet again Faarooq cuts him off and goes back to the rest hold. With Sunny helping him for leverage. After Simmons stops another rally and throws Vega head 1st into the bottom corner turnbuckle he gets a near fall.

Faarooq gets a couple more close near falls and can't seem to pin Savio. Sunny is in a way pumping the crowd to cheer for Vega as she hits the canvas . Jim Ross claims tonight he had way more to tell us about the Bad Guy , Razor Ramon and Big Daddy Cool Diesel. The match seems to finally hit its finish as Faarooq nails the front power bomb finish for the win. Sunny gets on the mic and taunts that Faarooq will have no trouble getting to the IC Title as all he has to do is barrel through Psycho Sid.

Who isn't at all happy to hear those comments as he's insane clearly and comes out laughing like a mad man. Sid wants to have the match now clearly as the officials come to the ring as fans chant SID , SID , SID. He tells Faarooq obviously he is THE MASTER....AND RULER OF THE WORLD ! After this scene we get personal messages WWF superstars sent to Ahmed Johnson. Vega tells him to get well , Backlund claims Ahmed's campaign didn't last long and Psycho Sid ...he acts...sane and wishes him a healthy recovery and come back soon . WTF ? That is clearly not the Sid Vicious we get onscreen.

Austin wants him to get well so he can pound the other kidney. Mark Henry wishes him to get well. Marlena quotes part of the dialogue from Silence of the Lambs about serving his kidney up for food. Clarence Mason smells a lawsuit. Jerry Lawler jokes he heard he is having a kidney transplant and the donor is Jake "The Snake" Roberts ha ha ! Godwinns wish him to get better. Owen Hart actually is nice and claims he knows that is rough and hopes he gets well to return. But he won't go easy on him.

We get the cool vignette of In Your House - Mind Games between Shawn Michaels vs Mankind. It was shown on the last show and its pretty cool. In weird interviews , Shawn Michaels is introduced by Carlos _____ . The Spanish announcer since Vince McMahon is not there. Shawn taunts that in one year he's dismantled Camp Cornette and worked through all his men. But at Mind Games he's gonna let Super Sock destroy him once and for all. Lothario is pretty angry and pledges to put down Cornette for what he did on Friday's RAW.

Michaels claims he isn't the biggest or baddest guy in the WWF. He's got more guts than brains at times. Then he taunts Paul Bearer and claims his time will come where he'll face the Dead Man soon. Then Shawn winds up and tells Mankind he's not his mommy or his brother , but at the PPV he's gonna show him who his daddy is ! Don't hunt what you can't kill . After the promo the announcer's plug Shawn's "Playgirl" photo spread.

We get a vignette for the new WWF show coming September 21st .... WWF LIVE WIRE. A show so unremarkable that its only known for the fact Paul Heyman called in and made Todd Pettengill look like a goof on air once. Once we return Lawler and Kelly wanna know about Diesel and Razor Ramon but Ross tells em after this match as in ring is T.L. Hopper and the debut of "The Stalker" Barry Windham.

Windham looks in better shape than his last stint in WCW where he was pretty outta shape in 1994 (he wrestled Ric Flair and it was teased to be Hogan). But he looks nearly as silly as Ron Simmons. Windham has camo shirt and face paint , making him look like he stepped outta the woods hunting and never showered. Both men start throwing punches and brawling as Windham wins this slugfest.

On the split screen we see Brian Pillman talk with Owen Hart who reveals that him and Bret Hart have put their differences aside. That they made peace. Hey it worked 20 years later with Guns N Roses , why not these 2. Jim Ross doubts this news and Lawler calls him on his sources for Razor Ramon and Diesel. So Jim Ross reads a statement and claims that a snag is happening in negotiations due to his announcing it. But more news will be revealed later tonight.

Hopper tries to take a time out from The Stalker as Jim Ross details the silliest damn backstory for a wrestler. The Stalker has spent the last 3 years big game hunting. Once a year he goes and hunts some big game and has each year. So obviously The Stalker somehow manages to kill King Kong each year and has enough meat for a year. Windham finishes off this lackluster debut with a pretty sad super plex on Hopper. As he barely got it to look good.

After that we go to the actions of Mr. Perfect who for weeks have been stealing Hunter Hearst Helmsley's women. The two clash on the mic. Lawler stops everything to show up how he tried to mock Mark Henry from Friday's RAW. After the segment with Henry , in ring is Freddie Joe Floyd and he will face jailbird Crush. Who looks like he stepped right outta a Sons of Anarchy episode folks.

Crush starts off quick and just starts beating up Floyd (Smothers) in the corner. Then he gorilla press slams him and seconds later delivers a monster leg drop. The match is over but Crush wants to do more punishment. Mason joins them at commentary and proclaims he's just his legal counsel . Jim Ross asks point blank ...do you or do you not have a manager's license ? Mason slowly admits he does and then yells an OBJECTION like he's in court.

During the match Crush removes his shirt and then pulls up Floyd's arm and nails his finisher....the heart punch ! The move made classic by Stan Stasiak. Crush now uses the finisher as Mason celebrates after the match like his guy just won a championship. We flash to Bob Backlund and Iron Sheik on Friday and it stunned everyone.

After that segment recap ends , we get the RAW debut of Salvatore Sincere (aka Tom Brandt) who is a mob type character who acts sincere ...hence the name. Anyhow Brandt had been in IWCCW , WCW , USWA and ECW. His biggest fame however was using the name "Johnny Gunn". Jim Ross is pushed to discuss Diesel and Razor some more but cuts Lawler off and claims he will once they return. A promo then airs for a show that has more episodes than Monday Night Football. The cast of Friends were pimple faced kids when it started . Reagan was in the White House.....yes folks the new season of WWF Superstars begins September 22nd. (One of the former A-Shows of the company , WWF Superstars by 1998 would become just another recap show and fade away by 2001).

Sincere acts to shake Kevin Kelly's hand and pulls away as he's not that sincere. Kelly makes a pun about his name. Sadly for the mob guy , Salvatore ...he's facing a very angry ...pissed Undertaker. Salvatore was undefeated in the WWF at this stage. He is beaten like a rag doll to the outside. Sincere tries to rally back with some punches and after being caught by Undertaker he takes more of a beating.

Even the referee is spooked of this angry Undertaker. In a spot the Dead Man tries a stinger like splash in the corner and misses him as Sincere tries to take it to him. Salvatore is actually delivering some decent offense to the Undertaker. He nails a pretty decent Russian leg sweep. On the split screen we see Marlena and Goldust. She starts actually speaking more and quotes a line. Then he claims that at In Your House - Mind Games , they will cover him with the final curtain and end this.

Sincere gets too cocky and the Undertaker nails him in the stomach as he does a taunt. After the commercial we see Undertaker start to rally back as the mafia guy gets worried and cuts him off. But Salvatore again gets too cocky and posters to the crowd. This makes the Dead Man rise. During this Jim Ross claims negotiations with Razor Ramon have hit some snags but talks with Diesel are moving along. More in the coming weeks.

The Undertaker rallies back and nails the big choke slam. Jim Ross jokes Sincere is gonna be eating his momma's pasta soon. Then delivers the tombstone , ending the match. The Undertaker proves he doesn't need Paul Bearer. The announcers promote next weeks RAW as Taker poses there with his signature look towards the urn.

The Bad - I really felt for some of the guys with these gimmicks that Vince was throwing out. In the case of Faarooq , his character was doomed the moment he dressed up like a Roman gladiator and was acting like he came from the streets. I mean .....really ? He dresses like he stepped outta a stage production of Roman Holiday and your supposed to buy him as being from the same streets Ahmed Johnson was ? The fans themselves weren't at all interested what Simmons was doing then with the character.

Barry Windham debuts and its very , very sad because Windham was a friggen stallion at one point in the ring. A fact Ric Flair bragged on the 4 Horsemen DVD , he's a purebred ...he could go 60 minutes with me and go another hour ! Its why Flair wanted him as a Horsemen. He saw he could be huge. Sadly for Barry he never got that World Title push in his prime and by this point was in a horrible gimmick. Jim Ross backstory didn't help ..."He goes once a year and hunts BIG GAME..."

The matches tonight was nothing special and seemingly all were squash matches if you watched. No one got much offense , even Vega who seemingly was cut off each time. The main event had more offense from Sincere than I'd imagine but still....the match ended pretty quick and seemed to be about selling Undertaker being on his own in a match for the 1st time in his WWF career.

OVERALL : ** Outta 5. Beyond the Intercontinental Championship tournament and the Undertaker , tonight's show wasn't that good at all. Several things to take note of on this RAW. This was the 1st solo Undertaker match in his career without Paul Bearer in his corner. This RAW also saw the company promote WWF Livewire and WWF Superstars ; which was coming to USA Network for the 1st time. Its just the rest of this show wasn't interesting at all.

    WWF Monday Night RAW - September 16th , 1996

Your Hosts - Jim Ross , Kevin Kelly & Jerry Lawler

Kevin Kelly discusses that one of the 4 superstars will become the next Intercontinental Champion. We get his spot on Owen Hart and him being a technical in ring star. Jim Ross does the next one as he brings up Marc Mero's high flying skills. Kelly does Psycho Sid and coins the weirdest thing for him and questions ..."what goes on in the mind of this mercurial mesomorph ?" WTF ? Jerry Lawler does the last one and its Faarooq. Lawler then questions if Big Daddy Cool and Razor Ramon will return and tonight Gorilla Monsoon will answer that as WWF President.

Jake Roberts is out as he carries the snake and takes after Jerry Lawler . He chases The King all around the ring away ...as we see he left his crown. The Snake tells him to come back. Jim Ross and Kelly are left to call this match as we see The Sultan debut. The Sultan folks is ...Eddie Fatu (aka Making a Difference Fatu). Bob Backlund and Iron Sheik is his managers as Lawler feels safe so he returns.

Backlund brags up the Sultan as being a future WWF World Champion. That he left the training of this man up to Sheik. As Kelly claims the promise of the Sultan has united 2 former enemies Backlund and Sheik to manage him. Jake starts off quick against Sultan and nearly locks in the DDT finisher as fans start a loud DDT chant. Jim Ross can't wait to reveal the shattering information on Diesel and Razor. Its a BOMBSHELL ANNOUNCEMENT folks.

The fans start a USA chant as the Sultan finally slams his head into Jake's stomach in the corner to take advantage. Jake nearly does another DDT but outside the ring at the announce booth , Lawler tosses an airport bottle of booze at him and it distracts the Snake. It allows Sultan to lock in the camel clutch for the submission win. Backlund is off in space some where as Jim Ross asks him if he's pleased at the win twice. Lawler mocks Jake for wanting to drink some booze.

Backstage we see Brian Pillman and Owen Hart together. They will have that exclusive interview this Sunday. Owen is happy to finally be reunited with his big brother. Then over comes Stone Cold Steve Austin. As he proclaims THE BOTTOM LINE IS , STONE COLD IS THE BEST THERE IS NOW ! Back to in ring Bob Holly is tagging with Alex Porteau in a non-title WWF World tag team title match.

Sunny comes out in a sports bra type deal with her team. She bounces around as Lawler goes "Oooh my..." She gets on the mic and announces her tag team , the hottest tag team in WWF. Sunny claims she knows the men love her (and yeah we do) so she has a surprise for us. You mean more than the sports bra and her bouncing around ? Oh yeah she reveals a huge poster of herself that drops down.

Meanwhile we see Gorilla Monsoon prepare to discuss Diesel and Razor backstage. As well as Bret Hart who is in a motel room ready to discuss his WWF future. The WWF shows off their new fall season of shows in syndication as well as network. You have WWF Superstars , Live Wire , Challenge ...and Blast Off ? Ok in looking this is actually WWF Mania , which was re-branded to WWF Blast Off as it switched to WGN. It died in 1996 pretty much after a 3 year run.

Once we return to action the WWE keeps the big huge poster of Sunny up , which if I was someone on that side of the ring I'd be pissed. It blocks a ton of rows. Finally someone raises it as Sunny cuddles one of the WWF World tag team titles. Holly starts off quick and dumps Billy outta the ring as he's wearing some kind of arm brace deal. During this match Jim Cornette brings out Owen Hart and British Bulldog to watch.

Then Jim Ross as he announces ...DROPS A BOMBSHELL. Next week Razor Ramon and Diesel will be in ring from Hershey PA. Lawler is stunned at this as Jim Ross repeats the announcement. Bulldog and Owen with Cornette all sit in chairs. Jim is wearing work out clothes for his workout deal next week. The Gunns are dominating this match as Jim Ross claims this is happening for real and stands by his sources. It will be a 1st for the WWF as heel vs heel tag teams will clash at In Your House - Mind Games.

Both Gunns taunt Owen and Bulldog , and Billy Gunn does it and nearly gets pinned by Alex Porteau. Billy goes back to working Alex over and again gets too over confident and finally misses in the corner. This allows Alex to make the hot tag finally as Bob Holly clears the ring and gets a near fall. As Holly climbs the top rope , Sunny shakes the top rope and it allows the Gunns to nail the sidewinder finisher , but ...Billy doesn't make the cover as Owen Hart gets on the apron. It makes Billy go over and confront him as Holly is able to get a shocking roll up pin !

Its a non-title match as Jim Ross warns the Gunns they had better be on guard at In Your House. Or they will lose. After a funny WWF Superstars promo coming to USA network , we return to Gorilla Monsoon who pretty much wonders what the hell Jim Ross is talking about. Because as he details Kevin Nash and Scott Hall will NOT be appearing next week in Hershey PA as they are under contract to a rival wrestling organization (WCW). Monsoon goes ahead and apologizes to all the fans who he believes will be hoodwinked and betrayed by this.

At this point we hear a loud kablong sound as Monsoon proclaims he will punish the person responsible for doing this as its revealed Jim Ross has left the announce booth. Leaving Kevin Kelly for now as in ring Jerry Lawler talks to Vader and Jim Cornette. We see Cornette discuss all the problems he's going through with Sunny and Clarence Mason stealing his talent. Now he's gotta get in ring and face Jose Lothario at Mind Games. So he will shock them all he proclaims as we see Vader has been training him.

Cornette is so confident he's gonna have a bit of a work out session with a young man named Tony Williams in ring. Williams would also go by Kid Wikkid . Sadly he would pass away in 2007. He's gonna show them all some things Vader taught him. They lock up as Vader coaches him as it shocks me but Cornette locks on an arm bar. Then it gets reversed as Williams backs him into the ropes as Cornette cries in pain. Then he does a head lock as Lawler claims its a work out , not a match after Williams reverses it.

Anyhow this pisses off Williams who is being told off by Lawler and Cornette at times. So he pretty much starts to dominate Cornette and does an elbow drop to Cornette's knee ! Vader has seen enough as he he jumps Williams. Then Cornette locks him in the ropes and starts slapping and hitting the kid. Taunting on what he plans to do to Jose Lothario.

Jim Ross is back and he's angry at being accused of hoodwinking the fans and more. That Gorilla has known him for years and he'd never mislead anyone with this. Anyhow the co-main event of the night is the Intercontinental Champion semi-final of the tournament. This is Owen Hart vs Marc Mero. Joining the crowded announce booth is Pat Patterson who they claim is the 1st ever WWF Intercontinental Champion. He also will be the referee for the finals.

Sable comes out as she is wearing a dress for the night. No hot , tight leather. That is a weird choice to not see her in that. Patterson stands by Ross and knows if he claims Razor and Diesel will be there next week ...they will. This starts off with both testing each other out with some reversals and more. Mero moves pretty damn quick as its gonna be fast paced and quick . Mero stays in quick control til Owen nails a running spinning heel kick to take over.

As the match goes , Gorilla Monsoon appears onscreen as he never left WWF HQ yet. He tells Ross he's never had any problems with him but he best check his sources for damn sure. Because Nash and Hall's names haven't came across his desk at all. Ross answers back not everything does come across his desk and that he's never lied to him ever on anything right. Monsoon seems to accept that and claims we will see what happens in a week.

In ring Owen Hart stays in control of the match and nails a very decent drop kick off the top rope. Lawler claims this could be the biggest news in history of WWF if Razor and Diesel return. Unless Jim Ross is a hoodwinker. But an angry defiant Ross claims he stands by his sources and they will be there next week. Then Owen knocks Mero outta the ring with his cast. Ross demands that Monsoon make Owen Hart stop using the cast as there is nothing wrong with his arm.

After a commercial break and we get the HBK/Mankind vignette promo (which was awesome) , Owen is in control til Mero rallies back. He ducks outta the ring as Mero spies him and does a somersault placha to the outside on him. As Mero is rocking along , him and Owen collide in the middle of the ring head to head. Then Owen decides to cheat as he has the cast and removes it. Slugging Mero as the referee can clearly see it. The announcers play like he can't of course. After a near fall which stuns Owen , Mero pays him back and removes his cast and lays him out with a punch. The referee can see it and see it laying in the ring. But counts the 1,2,3 for Marc Mero.

Mero stomps on the cast as he advances to the finals of the tournament. Later tonight Faarooq will be in action against Psycho Sid. The WWF cuts away and shows us some nice video clips of the trip to Africa. Bret Hart was there and competed in what could be his final WWF match. Then we see Bret Hart who does a brief interview in a motel room. Bret claims Brian Pillman is a liar and he never promised him anything. He turns to Owen Hart and proclaims that Owen is his brother , but he's as bad a liar as Pillman.

Then Bret tells the fans he cares for them and he knows they want answers on his career. But as Bret claims he has promises and commitments he made to Hollywood and his family he must do 1st. Then he will make his decision. Meanwhile Faarooq comes to the ring as were gonna see him clash with Psycho Sid and we get a replay of last week where Sid wanted to go right then !

The WWF promotes WWF Livewire which would debut that Saturday at 10am and be a live call in show. Jim Ross again promotes Razor and Diesel next week. Psycho Sid comes to the ring as Kelly gives us the WWF number. Its toll free and 1-888-LIVE-WWF. I looked up the number since its no longer in service and its basically something for a "In the News Blog" site deal. Anyhow Kelly gives the fax and e-mail. The show is promoted for fans to call in (and you could...after screening ...because my question about ECW wasn't allowed one lady told me before It could go on air then) Also the show will have Brian Pillman call in.

The match starts as Faarooq seems in control and delivers a power slam as Psycho Sid stands up as the bad guy turns and celebrates...too much. He turns and faces the damage. In a nice back side suplex , Sid is crunched later by Faarooq. He is such a tall guy he lands crunched. On the side screen Ahmed tells Faarooq if he believes he accomplished something big , he's sadly mistaken and he will run his ass out when he returns.

Jim Ross continues to promote the return and claims he's not lying or anything unlike others. Sid rallies back and then both men deliver clotheslines onto each other . The fans start to chant for SID as its the most heat this match has had. Faarooq is up 1st and tries to do a rest hold and then jump into the air on Sid's back as the Psycho one moves . Faarooq however takes back control and works over Sid's back and kidney's.

As Faarooq sets up for his finisher , Sid reverses and nails the choke slam ! He is too weak to make the cover as Sunny jumps up on the apron to distract the referee. This allows her man to roll outta the ring and grab a steel chair. He uses it on Sid and doesn't throw it far. The referee turns and starts to count Sid kicks out and nails Faarooq as he's SNAPPED and went complete Psycho !

Not caring anymore about the IC Title , he starts smashing Faarooq with the chair as the referee DQ's him. Sunny manages to get her man outta the ring as the Psycho one blinks his eyes and laughs over what he did to Faarooq. After this we go to Undertaker who details at Mind Games , that yes he will never forget Goldust's name because ...he will punish him. That he will destroy him 1st in the final curtain match and his vengeance will move onto Paul Bearer and Mankind !

Then we see a promo of Mankind and Bearer who discuss the WWF World title match against Shawn Michaels. Mankind wonders if all the girls will race to kiss him and whisper in his ear (Mick shows his cut off ear) . Or will they scream in terror at him (Mick starts to strangle himself with some kinda wire). HAVE A NICE DAY !! RAW ends with that.

The Bad - The matches again weren't anything special as basically they were just part of the show. Mero/Hart was solid , but the match really took a backseat to Jim Ross discussing the return of Diesel and Razor Ramon. In fact the entire night was basically ...Diesel and Razor Ramon's return next week. Building a whole show around that with really no good matches showed the problems the WWF was having at this stage.

OVERALL : ** Outta 5. With little good in ring matches , tonights show should have been called ...Diesel and Razor are returning and were gonna spend 35 minutes on commentary discussing that. So watch next week fans ok. The show basically did a terrible job promoting Michaels/Mankind at that weekend's PPV and more time was spent trying to get ratings for Monday. As an important note ...this was the last appearance of Owen Hart's cast he'd use as a weapon. He would no longer use it.

    WWF Monday Night RAW - September 23rd , 1996

Your Hosts - Jim Ross , Kevin Kelly & Jerry Lawler[/U][/B]

Last night we get a small glimpse of Razor Ramon and Diesel beating Savio Vega at the PPV In Your House - Mind Games backstage. Poor Vega also before this comically at the same PPV had Sandman (ECW) spit beer in his face . Sandman shockingly sit at ringside with Paul E. Dangerously and Tommy Dreamer but the WWF instead decided to open and focus on Vega being beaten up backstage. Jim Ross tells us , he hates to say he told us so.

RAW begins with Mr. Perfect in ring as he is there to see a new Intercontinental Champion be crowned. He joins the RAW announcers for commentary as Faarooq is out to face the Wildman Marc Mero. Perfect puts over how he gave Mero advice to be a future IC Champion. Sable is out in a sparkling red dress by the way to match Marc's red tights it appears. Pat Patterson is special guest referee as they seem to be kicking the show off with this tournament finish.

Sunny its revealed saw her tag team the Smokin Gunns lose the WWF World tag team titles last night and she pretty much dumped them in asap order. Mero starts off quick and does a somersault placha onto Faarooq outside the ring. Then in ring he nails a moonsault onto Faarooq. But his high risk offense costs him as Simmons takes control. He knocks Mero off the apron into the guard rail.

Ahmed joins us on the phone and warns Faarooq will have a cold day in hell for knocking him outta action this long. In cruel teasing Lawler proclaims that Ahmed will get a kidney transplant from Jake Roberts. Back in ring in a cool spot , Faarooq shows his strength and delivers a Samoan drop from the 2nd rope . During the match Sunny grabs Mero's head and tries choking him as Sable comes to stop it. Patterson has seen enough and kicks her away from the ring. Ordering her to go backstage as Sunny objects and complains.

As Simmons locks on a chin hold , Jim Ross claims that tonight there will be an expose on Jeff Jarrett as well. But Lawler questions Ross over everything he's done lately regarding Diesel and Razor as well. In ring Mero falls back into the ropes as Faarooq falls onto the turnbuckle. Mero then delivers a frankensteiner off the top turnbuckle onto Faarooq . Both men lay each other out with clotheslines as Sunny returns with a loaded purse.

Sable stops her from climbing in ring as the two women start slapping each other as fans pop huge for this. Patterson gets between both as Faarooq grabs the loaded purse she slid in ring. He misses Mero who slugs him and lays him out with the loaded purse. Mero then slowly pulls him to the corner , then stops and removes Simmons. Then gets on the top rope as Jim Ross tries his best to make this a huge moment as Simmons tries to brace himself for seconds as Marc is basically screwing up by posing a couple seconds for fans.

Patterson makes the 3 count as Mero's biggest WWF moment is this. Sunny's dreams are again crushed. She gets her purse back as we see a loaded brick inside it. Perfect celebrates with him as Jim Ross gets in ring with him. Mero thanks Jesus Christ , the fans and Sable ; his partner in life , best friend and wife. Mero thanks Perfect as well. We go backstage as we see Razor/Diesel's locker rooms.

Last summer we see Jarrett get tripped by his own assistant (The Roadie) who costs him the IC Title. He at least had the hit song "My Baby Tonight" its claimed. Well tonight as Kevin Kelly claims , they will expose Double J. After the commercial , everyone backstage celebrates with Mero as he holds the IC title as Dok Hendrix tells us how great a moment this is.

Vince McMahon shows us last July where Double J is supposedly having the best moment of his career. That Jarrett is country music's version of Milli Vanilli folks. We see him performing as he lip synchs the song. That Jarrett left the company because he was gonna be exposed and the "Real Double J" will be revealed who sang the song. The Body Donna's (without Kloudy) are out to face Owen Hart & British Bulldog. Who are now managed by Clarence Mason.

Clarence Mason gets on commentary as we see him sign over Bulldog and Owen's contracts when he's barely conscious. The tag match starts out quick but suddenly the arena explodes for the ECW guys. Taz has arrived and jumps the railing as the action soon stops as the fans chant ECW , ECW as Jim Ross is less than happy. Proclaiming how the local small time outfit is here. That they wrestle in a bingo hall. Taz has a sign that reads "SABU FEARS TAZ..."

One fan has a sign ECW -1 , WWF -0 . The fans start a very loud WE WANT TAZ chant. The Body Donnas stay in control as Skip does some nice reversals on Owen Hart. Jim Ross again proclaims how he broke the return of Diesel and Razor. On the split screen as Owen and Bulldog take control , is an angry Jim Cornette ! He's gonna get even with that little peanut head Clarence Mason. But first he's gonna get his revenge on Jose Lothario. Next week him and Vader will team up against Shawn Michaels and Lothario.

Both teams use some solid tag team moves. But the Body Donna's can't withstand the sharpshooter from Owen Hart. This brings up how Owen Hart , Brian Pillman and Steve Austin made fun of Bret Hart. We see pictures from Mind Games between Shawn Michaels vs Mankind. Both men had a wild match , when Shawn delivers delivered a wild super kick with a steel chair on Mankind. Then we see how many run ins the match had from Vader , Psycho Sid and finally Undertaker who saved Shawn from losing the WWF World title. Undertaker cuts a promo on betrayal and last night he showed Paul Bearer who the master of the mind games really is ! He pledges to send Mankind to eternal damnation ! he will bury him alive !
