Good ol' Frank is crazy as a goat. But he sure could draw the hell out of a comic.

Anyway, when I think DC I usually think Garcia Lopez and DC Comics Presents. He is the cornerstone on which WB build the DC merchandising. From toys to sneakers. Lunchboxes and tshirts. But if we go favorite artists I can't go without naming Joe Kubert. The level of his craft puts him right up there with Will Eisner and Jack Kirby in the history of american comic book.

Of the artists currently working for DC I think Reis, Janin, Mankhe, Saiz, Sorrentino, Chiang are the names that come to mind. Amazing how Capullo has evolved in Batman. Pat Gleason I like a lot. And the Multiversity line up even if they are not exclusive. Chris Sprouse, Karl Story, Ben Oliver, Frank Quitely, Cameron Stewart... they are awesome on their own right. And finally, Kuder is killing it in Action.

PS: Soft spot for Jae Lee. When he's on he's ON.

It was Garcia Lopez and Adams who really got me into comics as a kid. Their art is staggeringly brilliant. I could still spend hours just browsing through their work with a huge smile on my face.
I like Neal Adams' work back in then. Also enjoyed Alex Ross' work in Kingdom Come. It seemed like every panel is a great work of art.

Tough one for me because I'm more of an art guy than a writer guy.

    Neal Adams
    Curt Swan
    Marshall Rogers
    Jose Luis Garcia Lopez
    Dick Dillin
    Jim Aparo
    George Perez
    Bernie Wrightson
    Alex Ross

Those are the top guys for me. Just missing the cut: Ordway, Grell, Newton, & Infantino.

Frank Miller could draw well when he wanted to--he just didn't always want to.

Favourite DC artists would include: Carmine Infantino, Kurt Schaffenberger, Curt Swan, Sid Greene, Bob Oksner, Mike Parobeck, Dick Sprang, Alan Davis, Norm Breyfogle, Ramona Fradon, Otto Feuer, Sheldon Mayer, Nestor Redondo, Jerry Robinson, Joe Staton, Jack Kirby, Rags Morales, Henry Boltinoff, Mort Meskin, Gil Kane, Murphy Anderson, Dick Giordano, Neal Adams, Joe Kubert and Mike Sekowsky.

Nice to update this... I could probably list a few dozen (especially considering those having yet to make their debut), but I'll try to limit myself to my sentimental top tier current artists...:

    Gray Frank
    Andy Kubert
    Mikel Janin
    Babs Tarr
    Emanuela Lupacchino
    Kenneth Rocafort
    Doug Mahnke
Comics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. -- Grant Morrison, 2008

trade-waiting - Ice Cream Man, Monstress

My favorite contemporary artists would be Joe Bennett, Rags Morales, Dale Eaglesham, and Ethan Van Sciver. I also really like Marco Checchetto but he has, to my knowledge at least, never worked for DC.

All-time gets a bit trickier to pin down, but Joe Kubert is definitely near the top.

Neal Adams will always be my favorite due to a combination of artistic excellence and nostalgia, but I think Nicola Scott is as good as anybody has ever been at DC.

Wow, we have VERY similar tastes in artists. I'd just include Alan Davis somewhere in that list.

    Peace

I just got back into DC last October thanks to Batgirl and Gotham Academy, and I do really like the artists that worked on both those comics.
I would say my favorite DC artists are:

    Bruce Timm
Becky Cloonan [Gotham Academy variant cover artist]
Rick Burchett [artist for the animated Batman comics]
    Karl Kerchl
    Babs Tarr
    Emanuela Lupacchino

I haven't read too many DC comics, so I'm only really familiar with most DC artists by name only, and haven't actually read most of their works.

    Also i REAAALLY love:

    Ivan Reis
    Doug Mahnke
    Gary Frank
    Dustin Nguyen
    Patrick Gleason
