Exactly!! Land has some real talent...but in his quest for super-photorealism he often goes off the rails. The cut/paste/trace method ruins the storytelling.

Ugh, same here. I've been collecting UXM religiously for over 30 years and I'm depressed that I'm going to be subjected to more Greg Land.

Just to balance out the hate a bit, I really like Land's artwork. I felt his prior work on Uncanny XMen was fabulous. I enjoy seeing beautiful, bold, art instead of ... I don't know... the more gritty or loose indie look that seems most popular?

I also like Magneto, Sabes and Psylocke. Throw Cyclops on this team and I'll absolutely give it a try.

... lord knows I need something from Marvel to bring me back. =\

I'm not a fan of Land, even though I think he's extremely talented. Just not my cup of tea. Regardless, I'll eventually give this a shot. I want to read Bunn's Magneto series first.
