Amazing Spider-Man #313 Mar 1989
"Slithereens" Inferno crossover.
Story continues from Web of Spider-Man 48. Amid the rage of Inferno, Peter and Mary Jane rush to Queens to check on Aunt May!
Fortunately she is okay. But back at Empire State University, Dr. Curt Connors is definitely not okay. In fact he has become the Lethal Lizard again!
When Martha Connors and her son Billy stop by the ESU lab to check on Curt's welfare, the Lizard strikes!
Script by David Michelinie. Art by Todd McFarlane http://www.comicsreporter.com/index....odd_mcfarlane/
The Lizard design is so simple, yet so effective.
Dumb me, I meant his human form. Sorry.Originally Posted by Kurolegacy
A great villain for sure.
And it is worthy mentioning that besides the Lizard being a cool classic villain he have not appeared in that many stories.
Heck even the spin off villains that were made based of the Lizard design are cool as Stegron and Iguana.
You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.
You know what it means when he comes back.
"You're not the better one, Peter. You're just older."

I'm sorry, while Stegron is cool, but I can't rank him higher than Swarm.Scientists have, as we all know, declared Stegron the objectively greatest of all comic book characters.

I still remember the Lizard issue where Billy tried to kill him on his birthday...that was one of the only times the kid was visibly older before they reverted him back to a younger boy. Kids in Marvel books...forever young folks.
QUick question.
What was the deal with the naked Lizard that had the huge fin on his back?
I remember seeing him in several comics, but I never found out what his story was. I remember him even showing up in Marvel vs DC. Was that another form of Conners or was that something else?
The Lizard with the fin, if I remember correctly, basically had the same origin as the Iguana: Connors turns a regular lizard into a monster.
-Pav, who doesn't recall the details...

Connors as the Lizard also kills the Lizard with the fin during Ben Reilly's stint as Spider-Man.
