Watching the World Burn; DAKEN APPRECIATION THREAD

It says at the end of the issue that this will be continued in that Wolverine series coming up. The organization using the other dead guys probably just couldn't find someone dead to screw with Laura or Wolverine and Daken is sort of good for both, so it's a definite win for them.

Sort of silly that this keeps happening to Daken, but why ru in a trend?

What are your thoughts on the latest development for Daken? Looks like he’s gonna be a brainwashed weapon too, but what’s the point of it? To make room for Logan and Laura while he’s not in the picture? Is he gonna be saved? I’m curious how this will affect the already mysterious Logan case.
I hope he’s not gonna be used this way only to give Logan more pain and then just getting thrown out after Logan is back and his plot is over. Similarly to the Apocalypse story

Don't really wanna read the issue, or the whole mini. What exactly happened with Daken?

#1 - Yuriko and Creed meet Daken and tell him that Logan is alive, they want to hunt him down. Daken doesn't believe them but goes with them, he mostly just keeps whining as he doesn't really want to be there. They arrive in a small town full of zombies, Daken gets attacked by them and captured by two soldiers of Soteira. All the 3 of them lose their healing factors by the green device set by Soteira, which killed the people of the town and turned them into zombies.
#2 - Captured. He learns about the device and that Soteira wants to destroy the town bc of the failed experiment. The soldiers know that he is the son of Wolverine, and find him useful. He gets free at the end of the issue.
#3 - He swears 80% of the time. Reunites with the others and tells them what he knows. He wants to go back to where he was kept and destroy the green device so they can get back their healing factors. They break out and fight with the zombies and the soldiers (they keep saying the same thing to them: "You will be useful". Probably for the next experiment. We also saw a brainwashed Logan at the beginning of the series who sets up the device -by the order of Soteira- that killes the town), one of the soldiers is the dead son of Creed, the other is the dead father of Yuriko. Daken for some reason is easily beaten, gets stabbed in the chest with a katana by Yuriko's father. not having healing factor, he dies at the end of the issue.
#4 - Yuriko and Creed manage to destroy the device and leave the town. We see the Soteira soldiers cleaning the town after the destruction, finding Daken and stating that new asset was acquired. The issue ends with the soldiers carrying Daken's body into a plane. Probably making him a brainwashed weapon like the Logan we saw in the first issue, the son of Creed and the father of Yuriko.

So we're definitely going to see him even though he has died, but the question is how, and how he's going to be used. Logan is going to be back in his normal form, but will Daken?
Logan is not even back yet, but they already did this to Daken. I don't have much hope that he's gona be treated better later.

Wouldn’t mind seeing a situation after Logan’s return where he and Laura join up to deal with him. Logan wants to put him down, but Laura argues he needs their help. Laura’s relationship with him can be used to illustrate he’s not a hopeless cause. Laura helps him break free of whatever conditioning he’s under, and cue the three of them teaming up and unleashing hell together.
