My gut is telling me its Jason Todd. I want it to be a new character, but everything I see points to Jason. His training, his knowledge and hatred of Bruce, the twin pistols... all lead me to this conclusion. Really hope its a misdirection

I hope not. If that is the case, than the Arkham Knight is just the Red Hood, but with a color change. That would be an incredibly underwhelming reveal.

I'd like it to be Damian Wayne. He was raised secretly by Talia and Ras and is now seeking revenge since they both died during Arkham City. Or it could be Jason Todd, Bane or Hush.

If you're interested in Batman at all, I would recommend it. They are exciting games, that really let you be Batman. Granted this is all my opinion. They immerse you into the world, and you dont need to know every detail to enjoy the games.
