I'll preface this by saying that I haven't worked in comics, and things might be a lot different than I gather, but I wouldn't be surprised if all the creative control issues at DC are making writers that WOULD be jumping to write Batman hold back. I mean, it's always been a dream of mine to do a Batman run, but I wouldn't want to write one that would be hacked up by the mandates of people like DiDio.
