    Default Carnage Symbiote's Vulnerabilities

If the Carnage symbiote was born on earth, why does it posses the same vulnerabilities that the Venom symbiote possesses?

Well, considering Venom is the parent, wouldn't it make sense that the child would have the same weaknesses? Or is being born on earth supposed to make a difference?

There was a period when Carnage could not be hurt be sonics, only microwave beams, due to having been fused to Kasady's blood stream. There was no real explanation as to why this was done away with. As to the question, symbiote weaknesses are due to having evolved in the void of space; you don't just overwrite millions of years of evolution in one generation.

Sundry combinations of these strains will probably account for my...odd tastes, and eccentricities."
