I figured that it would be published since they had released the Tim Truman Hawkworld mini. I was expecting Atlantis Chronicles to be the first of the last few batches to be canceled.

I usually just get the TPB, like with Kings vision in two volumes, but for this, I might just wait for the HC.

Regarding SOTB, issues 13-15 & 21-23 are previously uncollected and 16-23 are all Knightfall issues (although issues 21-23 are part of "The Search" which have not been released previously they are also scheduled to be included in the upcoming Knightfall omnibus) so this TPB might be a large amount of double dipping if you already own the Knightfall collections.

Vol 3 is currently solicited to include issues 24-34, 0 & Annual 2 which will collect the remaining SOTB issues from Knightfall to Prodigal (24-30 are Knightfall then a Zero Hour tie in, a 0 issue and 3 Prodigal issues) then there is one issue of Troika before the series becomes its own thing again from issue 36 until the Contagion crossover in issue 48 (with Annual 3 to include as well)

Yeah, I am usually a staunch supporter of collecting *everything*, but these recent SoTB trades (as well as the new Robin ones) are full of double dips, thanks to the crossover-heavy nature of 90's Bat-books.

If I wasn't already familiar with the material, they'd almost be incomprehensible.

I've just started dipping my toe into DC comics here and there. I read the first volume of the New 52 Aquaman a while ago. It was good, but it didn't really grab me and i felt like i was missing something.

Aquaman By Peter David is listed on amazon for next year.

Is this considered the "definitive" Aquaman run? And is it a good place to start? For some reason I enjoy reading about water based characters.


On a completely unrelated note. How does Jack Kirby's The Demon compare to his other work story wise?

It depends on who you ask.

Many fans (mostly under 30) consider Geoff Johns' New 52 run to be "their" definitive Aquaman. However Peter David's run is absolutely definitive if you were reading comics in the 90's.
