Regarding to Nightcrawler. It's canon:
1. He doesn't like Broadway musicals
2. He does like Fred Astaire
3. He does like dancing, at least he likes waltz
4. There are vinyls in his room
Connecting him with classic music just because he's German would be nonsense --everybody can appreciate Beethoven or Haydn regardless of his/her nationality. It would be more plausible that he was keen on gypsy music, since he grew among them for twenty years, but I think his love for movies is stronger.
Considering his sensitive and highbrow personality, I'm pretty sure he could be a fan of the chanson, from Jacques Brel's exacerbated romanticism to Georges Brassens' libertarian fun (yeah, Brassens is anticlerical, but Kurt's got a great sense of humor). Just listen to this song while you watch this page!
For some reason, I relate him too with The Smiths. Morrisey's dark, slow and slightly guttural voice reminds me of Kurt's German accent. Seriously, can't you picture him on the stage, swinging his tail and singing like this?
Storm listen to Classical, instrumental, a capella, HeveyMetal, and R&B Soul.
