Finished off Injustice with the last 6 issues and nice art but a the ending was a bit of a damp squib.

Dark Wolverine v1: The Prince 3.5/5 - I quite enjoyed this. It's the first thing I've read by Daniel Way that didn't read like an imitation of Garth Ennis's slapstick work. Good art too.

The Plain Janes 2.5/5 - It read okay until the complete non-ending.

    Death of X #2: 2/10.
The all thing is artificial, none of the characters seems intelligent and I hate when a character is killed because the editorial thinks he is expendable.
Lazy writing and art that shows more and more weaknesses and tropes.

I just started rereading Hush. It's still very pretty, artwise, but Loeb's writing always feels like the text of one of the "Essential Guides to Batman" flavor text boxes put into narrative form - deep continuity knowledge, but superficial examination of what they mean for motivation beyond a mere statement and extremely obvious action/reaction chain. I'm looking forward to rereading Heart of Hush, and hope it has a bit more of the complexity I remember enjoying.

I am reading my way through Annihilation. Just on the Prologue so I have read the mini series of Drax the Destroyer (which I grew to like), Annihilation Prologue, Nova 1 to 4 (enjoyable stuff) and Ronan #1 (which looks good so far - good art).

The Black Beetle Volume 1: No Way Out - 3.5/5 - The story didn't exactly blow me away but the art did.

Kingsman: The Secret Service - 2.5/5 - Mark Millar's stuff seems to divide opinion on these boards but I generally like what he writes. This, however, fell a bit flat for me. I wasn't raving about Gibbons' art either.

Madwoman of the Sacred Heart 1 & 2. Absolutely fantastic. 9/10. Moebius, what an artist.

Tomb of Dracula 30. Okay. Art quite nice. 6/10.

Reread 1981's "Stained Glass Scarlet" in MOON KNIGHT #14. Heavy, heavy Eisner influence. I can picture both Moench and Siekiewicz having wallowed in SPIRIT reprints prior to composing the tale, but it's not quite up to Eisner's best. 6/10.

Joker: Endgame - 4/5 - After finally reading this, I was finding myself rushing through the non "Batman" issues to get to the main title issues to see what happened next. For the actual Endgame story in Batman, I'd give it 5/5, but for this particular book, I've knocked it down to a 4/5. Now that I've read it, in hindsight, I probably would've been better off buying "Batman: Endgame" instead. I might enjoy those extra issues more on a second read through though, now that I know how Endgame unfolds.
