Fantastic book. I have to reread it some time.

Have you read Point Blank? Sleeper is a sort of sequel to that.

Was Point Blank a mini series? If it was, then The Sleeper Omnibus has Point Blank in it at the start, with Grifter trying to find out who shot Lynch. I loved that too.

Just finished reading the only two single issues I've picked up since completing my Wagner/Grant/Breyfogle Detective Comics run. No GoodReads reviews for these, as I don't really want to include single issues in my reading challenge for the year:

    S.H.I.E.L.D by Jonathan Hickman issue #1: 3 / 5 Stars.
This is a very interesting premise for a book, one that I've been eyeballing for quite some time. When I saw two later-printing variants at Hastings for $0.20 each, I felt I had to sample the series before I bought the trade. I must say that this issue starts slow, but does pick up momentum near the end.

    S.H.I.E.L.D by Jonathan Hickman issue #2: 4 / 5 Stars.
Now we're picking up steam. I really like Hickman's portrayal of Da Vinci, and the set-up with cosmic ideas and universe-spanning theories really intrigues me. It was also cool to see (whom I believe to be) an adult Nathan Richards and Howard Stark fighting alongside each other. Little bits like that make these What If...? books so much more enjoyable.

Time to explore how much influence this series left on the DCEU version of Superman.

XIII v1: The Day of the Black Sun 2.5/5 - Feels a bit made up as it goes - and the spelling is terrible. The art is a bit reminiscent of John Byrne's.

The Flash #50-52 3/5 - Decent end to an overly-maligned run.

Just finished I am legion by John Cassaday and Fabian Nury. It was a very middle of the road book for me, only earning a 3 out of 5 Star rating on Cassaday's art alone.

Eclipse #1. The murder mystery set in a now underground and nocturnal Earth had a nice set up and final panel so I'm very interested in where the story is going to go.

I'd have rated it lower - but then I don't particularly care for Cassaday's art.

Black Widow 3 from 2004 with art by Bill Sienkiewicz. Story is ok but art is very much to my taste.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Volume 1 (2012) - 4/5 - A big change after spending nearly 2 weeks reading The Sleeper Omnibus, this was a fun, nostalgic read for me. It was better than I was expecting it to be
