Default CBR's Top 100 Stan Lee Stories

CBR asked readers for their favorite Stan Lee written stories, and used it to compile a Top 100.

    The lowest ten were submitted.

    https://www.cbr.com/stan-lee-greates...told-100-91/3/

It includes Stan Lee's parody of Frederich Werthem from Tales of Suspense, and a back-up from ASM 600 by Marcos Martin.

I think it's pretty cool that Lee had some material in the last decade that had enough of an impact on readers to make a "Best Of"- even an exhaustive one.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

    Thanks for the link.
Looking forward to read which were the other stories.
I am quite impressed that such a well written story as the Tales of Suspense story was only in the lowest ten.
And the Not Brand Echh#1 being there is great, one of the things that I like from the Marvel stories is exactly those funny takes, and that's something that was in the early Marvel stories of the modern era of Marvel that started with Fantastic Four:1.

i'm cool with the first bit, but putting words in other poster's mouths is a time honoured message board tradition. what next? a war on christmas?

"What are these words doing here?"

    "Those are the credits"

"If I wanted to read a book I'd go to the carnival"

    Two more entries.

    https://www.cbr.com/stan-lee-greates...er-told-90-81/
    90. "Spider-Man/Spider-Man vs. the Chameleon!" Amazing Spider-Man #1 (1962)
    87. “The Living Prison” Daredevil #35-38, Fantastic Four #73 (1968)
    85. "The Spider or the Man?" Amazing Spider-Man #100 (1971)
    81. "Lo, This Monster" Spectacular Spider-Man #1 (1968)

    https://www.cbr.com/stan-lee-greates...er-told-80-71/

    76. "The Grotesque Adventure of the Green Goblin!" Amazing Spider-Man #14 (1964)
    73. "The Horns of the Rhino" Amazing Spider-Man #41-43 (1966)
    71. "Turning Point" Amazing Spider-Man #10-12 (1963-64)

An underrated one might be Spectacular Spider-Man Magazine #1. There were some odd changes in adapting it for Amazing Spider-Man #116-118 (characters were removed/ changed, and they might have blunted a point on political corruption to appease the Comics Code of Authority.)
    Sincerely,

Very interesting to see so many Spider-Man stories in the Top 100 Stan Lee stories already.I always thought that the first 100 stories of Spider-Man by Stan Lee were a fine exemple of a comic book having just many fine stories right from the start.Only Fantastic Four first stories comes close to such great stories as Amazing Spider-Man had right from the start imo.

It also has the first story from my top ten...
    67. "If A Hostage Should Die" Tales of Suspense #77 (1966) The debut of Sharon Carter by Stan Lee and John Romita.

I wonder how high the “Harry on drugs” arc would rank if it weren’t for the fact it went against the Comic Code Authority. It seems its’ legacy hinges more on the context in which it was published than on the actual quality of the story. To me, it’s one of the weaker Stan Lee-penned Green Gobin stories, even including the one in that supersize magazine.

Those stories that ranked in the Top 15 Stan Lee stories are for sure the best Spider-Man stories by Stan Lee.
Those stories to me are what is the best of the best of Spider-Man stories.
