So, three days after I replace my Crimson Empire II trade paperback--at the full price of $20--the entire saga goes on sale for $4 digitally.

I've always thought, for unfortunate timing issues like this, there should be some sort of grace period. If something should go on sale within, let's say, a week of a user buying it, the difference is credited to their account for future purchases. This way you would probably be happy and they wouldn't have to refund the money.

Far as I know only Steam does this with their refunding system - they even specifically say in the Terms and conditions that they are perfectly fine with you refunding (within a little) and then rebuying a game that has just gone on discount.

Most other digital stores are not as forgiving; or at the very least are not as easy to get refunds on.
