    Some Amazon Fishin.

The first two volumes of "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" (https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=52800) are up. Publisher is listed as Kodansha USA and they are $12.99 so its their larger format books (still annoyed they haven't give this format line a name or even mention that it would be a thing in the first place). Love what I've read of this series so far, glad it got picked up.

When a certain man is released from prison, he knows exactly where he's heading first. After falling in love with a traditional comic storyteller's rendition of the story called "Shinigami," he is determined to become his apprentice. The performer, Yakumo, has never taken an apprentice before, but to everyone's surprise, he accepts the eager ex-prisoner, nicknaming him "Yotaro."
As Yotaro happily begins his new life, he meets others in Yakumo's life, including Yakumo's ward Konatsu. Konatsu was the daughter of a famous storyteller, and Yakumo took her in after her father's tragic death. Konatsu loved her father's storytelling, and would love to become a performer in her own right--but that path is not available for women.

    Volume 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/1632364700...+Rakugo+Shinju

And the second Hardcover for Otherworld Barbara is up listed for August 15th 2017. https://www.amazon.com/Otherworld-Ba...n%3A7421485011

Vinland Saga is a fantastic manga, great action and very good art. Quality is a little questionable (at least 3 of mine have pages that have started to turn yellow and the gluing can be sloppy), but it's worth a try.

Thanks. Recently wrapped up Gundam: Origin and was pretty pleased overall (being my first manga). Think I'll try Vinland next. Also eyeing Planetes, Otherworld Barbara, and Nausicaa (trying to stay away from the 60+ volume mangas lol)....any thoughts?

I have Nauiscaa and I'm half way through the first hardcover. It's great so far (It's Hayao Miyazaki so of course it is lol). I did pick up Otherworld Barbara but I haven't started it yet. My hardcover manga are the books I take the longest time to finish lol. Just finished Emma HC vol. 4, and started JoJo's Bizarre Adventure- Phantom Blood vol. 2.

Nausicaa is great, and you should be able to find complete collections for reasonable prices.

PLANETES is fairly fun, and is slightly more realistic space story than Gundam. Less politics and other opera, more garbage-man-in-space.

Haul from September through November. 63 volumes (4 not pictured are Blame! vol 1, Wandering Son vol 1, Fruit Baskets vol 7, and Dragons Rioting vol 5), and started 13 new series.

Platinum End by Ohba & Obata was great. Feels similar to Death Note but seems like it will be more action focused and have a lot few battles of wit. Series runs monthly in Japan so Obata has more time for the art on each chapter and it shows. He's always one of the best but this is probably the best looking series he's done so far. In/Spectre (Author of "Record of a Fallen Vampire" and "Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning") was easily my second favorite new series, first chapter is one of the best I've read all year. Fire Force (Author of Soul Eater) has a lot more mystery than action. There are fights but it's more focused on investigations and has a lot of good twists.
Welcome to the Ballroom is one of my favorite sports manga. I don't like many due to lack of realism (I can't stand Kuroko's Basketball) or characters completely new to sports dominating. Pacing is fantastic and I love the way the artist shows all of the dances. I've read other dancing manga before but I always felt like they lacked too much detail in the movements of the characters.

Also Viz finally started to fix the issue with the two-page spreads in One-Punch Man vol 9, its not perfect but they all look much better the the previous volumes.

Veritcal-inc announced the licensing of Makoto Shinkai and Tsubasa Yamaguchi's "She & Her Cat" https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=130537 via their December Newsletter.

"She & Her Cat" is a single volume release, and due in Summer 2017. Here is a little info Vertical included about the series in the newsletter:

Adapted in 2016 by Tsubasa Yamaguchi this manga retells Makoto Shinkai's first animated work by the same title. Shinkai released She & Her Cat as a seven-minute video on CD-Roms sold at small anime/manga events. It would go on to win DoGA's CG Anime Contest Grand Prix in 2000. The success of this self produced project would eventually catch the attention of a small animation studio and distributor Comix Wave, and it serves as a primer for what would become a seventeen plus year career in animation.

A tale of loneliness and discovery, She & Her Cat in some ways lays down the foundation for the World of Shinkai. Yamaguchi does a wonderful job not only retelling Shinkai's story, she also adds more visual depth and context to this tale of a single woman and her cat.

Sevens Seas Entertainment is having another new licensing announcement week, and it seems to include a lot of retellings of classic manga series. Also if you pick up any of these you absolutely need to give Spirit Circle a shot, it is one of the best series I've ever read.

Has there been any information about the Ghost in the Shell deluxe editions due at the end of the month?
    ?
Specifically things like, how big are the books? is it the censored version? Is it a limited print run? Do I need to preorder/worry about it going out of stock before I order?
