It would be amazing and might tempt me to start buying Batman comics again...
The last time Batman was really interesting was when he wasn't Bruce Wayne.
Thing is, none of the changes Marvel has made are long term. Marvel and DC don't really do long term changes, it happens very rarely.

In some universe they already made a reverse Trinity I would be interested in reading that and I would have loved to see Helena Wayne as Batman in Earth-2.
If they would do a female Batman in the main continuity then I would not complain but it is very unlikely considering there is a Batwoman with a three-dimensional-character that could just get an ongoing again and Batman is the cash cow. Female Thor is also someone that is very close to Odinson and Bruce currently does not have anyone like that. The two oldest, Batgirl and Batwoman made their identities without wanting to get involved with Batman, Stephanie and Harper are not that skilled and Cassandra is too new right now, Bruce and her do not have the relationship they had before.

Isn't Carrie technically Batman in Dark Knight III I think.
It'd almost be worth it to see fan's heads explode
Barbara taking up the mantle would be awesome but I guess the name (Batman) is the only little issue. Other than that sure why not.
Batman is currently a woman in DK3
So there's that
If they did it in the main continuity it could be interesting different especially if its Kate or some other female character
Why does modern fandom fall for this kind of blatant deception for profit? It doesn't take two seconds to see that this is just BS.
It's not like Doctor Who, where the Doctor could regenerate into a woman and it would still be the Doctor. Short of Batman getting a sex change but still going around in costume and calling himself Batman, the idea is a total non-starter.
If another character becomes Batman, it's another character. Yes it's "Batman" the trademark name, but it's not the actual Batman--Bruce Wayne with his origns taking the Batman name--it's another Batman. If it's a woman--and she doesn't do a reverse Madame Fatal and dress up like a man and call herself Batman--then it's not even the trademark name Batman but Bat-Girl or Batgirl or Batwoman or the Bat Lady.
This is just obvious. Any Kindergarten student would see the difference. Yet fans somehow fall for this ridiculousness and pour money out of their pockets into the coffers of publishers.
I'm not arguing the rightness or wrongness of trading out one character for another. But it seems willful blindness not to recognize the reality of what the publisher is doing when this happens.
Didn't they kind of already do this when Batwoman took over 'Tec for a while in 2009?
That was great and BW needs a home book again, so yes please.
Batgirl - ...BOP - Batman - 'Tec - Nightwing - Supergirl - Titans - Wonder Woman
I don't think it will happen, there are already so many Batman as a woman analogues already out there and some are part of the Bat-Family. I mean the initial run of Batwoman was insanely good, and before New 52 she had a run on Detective Comics.
