Best stuff of 2015
-Putting Doyle in charge of the Bat line was probably the best decision DC made this entire year. He's done a lot to give each title a distinct tone and style, which it was severely lacking at the time the reboot started.
-The decision to reinvigorate the Vertigo line of titles. I think it was a good move to try and get some interest going in Vertigo again even though there is Image and the new titles seem to be strong ones. I haven't been this excited about Vertigo in years myself.
-The DCYou direction was also a good move despite it begin unable to compete with Marvel's Secret Wars and Star Wars combo. I really appreciated the attempt to diversify the overall tone and style of the entire DCU even though it doesn't appear to have worked out as well as DC was hoping for.
-Hiring creatives of a more independent bent of mind or who are from outside the comics field. I love what writers like Seeley, King, Orlando, Valentine, Bermejo, Walker and others do with the characters they've been given and I like how the art at DC is now a bit more diverse in both the artists themselves and the art styles.
2015 Titles that I think are excellent:
-Grayson
-Omega Men
-Midnighter
-Doctor Fate
-Green Lantern: Lost Army
-Cyborg
Worst of 2015
-Teen Titans
-Convergence
-Future's End
-World's End
-The Superman Editorial Office

Supporting LION FORGE COMICS and other independent publishers.
Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.
Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!
When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change. AVATAR AANG
Best:
Multiversity
Justice League
Grayson
Omega Men
Midnighter
Martian Manhunter
Titans Hunt
Action Comics (before Truth)
Cyborg
Swamp Thing by Soule
All Star Section 8
DC Bombshells
Bizarro
Worst:
World's End
Earth 2
Action Comics (after Truth)
Convergence
Wonder Woman by the Finches
Teen Titans
Lobo
Worse:
Taking Bruce out of the costume and putting Gordon in that stupid Batbot. I still like the books because of the creative team. They're just so darn good together that it's hard to not like the book, but I hate the premise of the story right now.
Best:
Justice League. This book is just magnificent. Everything about it is pure fun--the characters, the story, the writing, the art. Best thing DC did all year.
Honorable Mention: Sandman Overture with Gaiman and JHW as the creative team. How cool was that?!
“Now faith, hope, and love remain, and the greatest of these is love.”--1 Corinthians 13:13
“You had a dream; I have a plan”--Cyclops
“There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.”--The Doctor
BEST:
Grayson for the awesome world-building
Batgirl for the awesome cast of kickass women
Omega Men for renewing my interest in DC's comic side
Midnighter for existing (yes, representation matters) and being a damn good comic every month.
Darkseid War finally making JL the comic it should be.
No "worst" list this time around, keeping things positive for today
Best
Harley Quinn - I like the wackiness of it
Starfire - Got me into a character that I didn't really know much about
Batman - Creative team
Justice League - Darkseid story
Black Canary - can't quite put my finger on the reason why but she's my second favourite female character so there's that LOL.
Wonder Woman - Art
Worst
Superman - stories have bored me this year to be honest

Best:
- The new Vertigo line
- Mark Doyle's editorial, special mentions to Grayson, Midnighter, Genevieve Valentine's Catwoman, Gotham Academy, and Gotham by Midnight
- The Multiversity
- DCYou in general, despite the lackluster sales, produced some gems: Omega Men, Prez, Starfire, Midnighter, Martian Manhunter
- Digital-first titles such as Batman '66, Legend of Wonder Woman, Bombshells
Worst:
- Convergence, and the effect on DC sales
- The entire post-Robinson Earth 2 saga
- Eddie Berganza's editorial, including Daniel H. Wilson's Earth 2, Scott Lobdell's Red Hood, Teen Titans, and the Finches' Wonder Woman
- Superman: Truth
- The disappearance of DC's Dark corner
Best: Convergence Shazam!
Worst: Convergence and every other Convergence tie-in
Best:
- The Bat books have been exceptional this year, all around
- The DCYou books that I get - Midnighter, Starfire, Prez, Black Canary - are all wonderful, and I appreciate the underlying philosophy of the DCYou initiative
Worst:
- The two Convergence minis that I bought - The Question, Batgirl - were pointless. The whole 'event' seems to have done irreparable damage to DC's reputation and sales.
- The only book that's I'm still buying that I would honestly have to describe as 'bad' is Wonder Woman. I like the art, but the writing is ham-fisted, superficial and immature.
Best
Justice League, Superman American Alien, and Superman Lois and Clark. These three books are the only ones each month that keep the original superhero a viable property in publishing.
Vertigo is finally coming out with a nice variety of books.
Don't know if your looking for this as well but DC owns television. While Marvel studios is starting to feel a bit tired (a little with Avengers 2, a lot with Ant Man) were getting like a hundred hours of live action fun.
Worst
DC directions for Superman (Weak) Wonder Woman (Ugly) and Batman (MIA) along with sub par writing/direction for Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Cyborg rounds out the bust down Justice League solo's.
The seemingly endless clueless flailing for for a direction/status quo for Teen Titans.
The train wreck flip flopping that was Convergence.
DC You being so very uninspired.
Best - Indie style books - Prez, Omega Men, Bizzaro and so on
- Grayson - Easily
- Justice League - Don't have the $$$ but selling well
- Harley Quinn - Again not a fan but $$$
- TV Shows - Very successful
- Batgirl - New direction suits
- Female led books as a whole - Really nice to see
- Lobdell back on Red Hood - It suits him
- Hype for Batman v. Superman
- Online comics - Like Bombshells and stuff
- DK3 - Even though I don't like Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns stuff, it was good for the company to have him back. A lot of hype.
- Weeklies - A move that's paying off I think
Worst
- Superman's direction - Didn't like what Johns did to him and after
- Phasing out somewhat of Superman Wonder Woman
- Convergence - Was necessary due to office moving but it was lacking
- Flash - The comic hasn't clicked
- Lack of an animated show.
BEST
Batgirl
Bizarro
Black Canary
Gotham Academy
Grayson
Justice League
Martian Manhunter
Midnighter
Omega Men
Prez
Robin: Son of Batman
Superman: American Alien
Superman: Lois & Clark
Titans Hunt
We Are Robin
WORST
New Suicide Squad
Red Hood / Arsenal
Superman / Wonder Woman
Teen Titans (only since Lobdell is back)
Telos
Wonder Woman (the Finch's)
