What Abilities Should The Amazons Have?

Let me get this straight, you agree that individually the Amazons should be almost as powerful as Wonder Woman but collectively they should only be as powerful as to not overpower the other forces on Earth, and the Earth should be just a tiny spec of nothingness in the Universe. So what does that make Wonder Woman?

you almost got it, but the raw idea is in that line, like it or not earth is just another planet in the universe, ww is the greatest heroine of the earth - and lets make it clear that this limited to the planet, but she gained some attention from outside because of the darkseid invasion, and that is she and the other six alone, the outer space forces do not care for earth, but they do recognize the league because of darkseid and that is it

Marston created "his" version of the Amazons as a Superhuman Race of Wondrous Technologically advanced Women. To be honest, anything showing other than that rings false. His version was around long before the Corps, Atlantantians, etc, in published history. I am so tired of seeing the others shown to flourish but we have people constantly want to "Hera" The Amazons.

(The Hera them is in response to Phil Jimenez finally brought them back to that only to have Greg Rucka have Hera in a fit of Jealous destroy that almost as soon as it was brought back)

Well okay, that's your opinion. My opinion is that the Amazons shouldn't be THE dominant force on Earth but one of the World's Superpowers, that much I agree with. There's no use, storytelling wise, for a bunch of Super-women. That'd just render them unusable, depreciate Superman and create all sorts of inconsistencies, it's a nonviable idea lets face it. They should be HUMAN really, no blessings, no help from Heaven, just regular Women that built a Powerful Nation in their own right. imo better than a bunch of supernatural Amazons, who for all their blessings, achieved nothing in their boring, uneventful existence

The purple ray? Guarding Doom's Doorway? Defeating Heracles and his men twice? Saving the Olympians at least twice. The numerous invasions they survived? None of these ring a bell?

And how does them having super powers depreciate Superman but numerous GLs, sorcerors, metas and another lost civilization of powered people does not?

Because a floating island held up by Martian, and possibly Kryptonian technology wasn't a braindead idea in the first place.

and yet none of this was true when Marston actually had them as a society of Super women. Until 1947 the Amazons were exactly that and there was TONS of storytelling around them.

Some parts of Morrison's JLA:Earth 2 like Superwoman and the stupidity of how only evil can win in the Crime Syndicate Earth and only good could win in the JLA Earth, thus robbing the heroes and villains of agency.

cause if they really solve the problems permanently (and im not talking about killing) the comics would end. so the prisons must be escapable so that the villains practice their villany so that the heroes save the day. it is a vicious cycle

The US clearly thought the Purple Ray was impressive. They were even considering invading Themyscira for it in Rucka's run.

The Amazons were created to be teachers. Becoming warriors and scientists wasn't part of the plan. In fact, the Olympians were pissed when they fought back against Heracles despite it being self defense.

Oh and btw, Bruce and Lex alone did not create things. They needed money and factory workers. Just like in real life. So the Amazons needing help, doesn't make them lesser.
