    Default Latest DC Comics you bought

    Here's a nice little thread devoted to posting what the latest DC comics we bought were.

    I'll go first.
    And I'm actually going back to 2010, since Comixology tracks when I bought stuff, and I've only bought a few print comics since then.

    Note that this doesn't include print, which would be-
    Adventure Comics (2009) #12-529
    Legion of Super-Heroes (2010) #1-16, Annual 1
    Legion of Super-Villains Special #1
    Flashpoint and the minis
    The first three months of New52
    Which would be about where I made the transition to digital.
    I've since given away all of the above, except for the Legion comics.

    Nice thread idea Lee and that's quite the list there. I feel like a digital newb compared to you.

    Batman (Volume 1)#4-8
    Batman # 369-371
    DC Bombshells chapters 20-24

    Digital Trades:

    Catwoman: Trail of the Catwoman (Brubaker)
    Batman Chronicles: The Gauntlet
    Crisis on Multiple Earths Volume 1

    Supporting LION FORGE COMICS and other independent publishers.

    Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.

    Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!

    When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change. AVATAR AANG

    If you look carefully at my list, you'll see an odd pattern forming.
    I tend to have several "corners" of the DCU that I dip into in a random order. Many of which, like the Vertigo stuff, I'm slowly converting from print to digital.
    Every now and then, I'll latch onto a current series, like Omega Men or Batgirl, but since they're relatively more expensive, I'll often pause reading until they price drop.

    Then there's things like the Giffen/DeMatteis JLI, which I have in print but won't bother converting until they have all the issues available.
    I also stopped on #12 of Batman Adventures because they stopped digitizing it. With the possibility of it being finished in the Spring, I may start getting them again.

    Trail of the Catwoman was great. I loved the first two years of the Brubaker run on Catwoman.
    DC Bombshells looks really good. I just wish there were a few male heroes mixed in. I really like the art style.

    Jonah Hex. He's in DC limbo now. What happened to All Star Western?

    Yeah, I did notice that. I do take dips into different corners of the DCU myself sometimes in print and sometime digitally depending on my mood. I likewise have several current series that I wait for the price drop on most of which are not DC titles at all (Ninjak & The Shadow for example) I'm also finding digital to be an easy way to locate and then read older material, like the early Batman issues I listed. It's much easier on my nose that way let me tell you.

    I have some of the Batman Adventures in print but it's been a long while since I read them. Might have to give them another read at some point.

    I'm looking forward to reading Brubaker's Catwoman.

    Legend of Wonder Woman looks great. But I'll probably wait and see if they offer a virtual trade for it.

    I was buying Batman '66 in chapters but didn't care for the DC2 format that required so much storage space.
    And now that I'm doing Batman '66 and Scooby Doo Team-Up in virtual trades, I'll go that route if possible.
    I wonder if there will be a Wonder Woman '77 virtual trade collecting the full series. If not, I'll probably just get the two specials in digital instead of completing the individual chapters.

    I normally buy physical DC comic books on a weekly basis.
    This past Wednesday I picked up:
    * Batman & Robin Eternal #15
    * Catwoman #48
    * Gotham Academy #14
    * Robin War #2 ( of 2 )

    The week before that it was:
    * Batman & Robin Eternal #14
    * DC Comics Bombshells #8 (print version)
    and for back issues,
    * Batman & Captain America (1996)
    * Batman: Spoiler / Huntress - Blunt Trauma #1 (May 1998)
    * Vigilante #1 (November 2005)
    the last two were for $1.00 each.
