Supporting LION FORGE COMICS and other independent publishers.
Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.
Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!

New Super-Man Vol. 1: Made in China

Finally made it to the comic book shop today (after just over a month) and picked up:* Action Comics #998-999
* Batgirl #20-21
* Scooby-Doo Team-Up #35-36
* Terrifics #1-2
The first (and hopefully not last) book I got is Green Lantern Earth One. I want to collect some Darkseid War issues (the GL tie in), Robin: Son of Batman and Batman and Robin (2011), Sinestro Corp War, Blackest night, but sadly can't find hard prints anywhere.
Oh, the first Digital comics is Detention of Doom, does this count?
Doomsday Clock #4 - great issue that suffers from the long wait and failure to advance the story much at all. I think it will be a highlight in trade when we have the whole story and aren't frustrated by having to wait so long for answers we were told we'd have by now.
Metal #6 - Like all of Metal I felt like it was trying too hard to be a series of crazy moments and didn't tell a very good story in the process. But I LOVED the epilogue and the Janin art there was perfect.
Detective #977 - Not great, not bad. I've loved Tynion's run but found this issue maybe a bit subpar.
Terrifics #2 - I think I'm going to love this no matter what. Love the characters and could stare at Ivan Reis' art forever. I adore his classic take on Metamorpho's face. Looks like Ramona Fradon IIRC.
JLA #27 - Every time I read this title I swear I'll drop it. This issue was no exception. At this point I'm just throwing good money after bad, speaking of which...
Wonder Woman #43 - I finally did manage to drop this this week after buying the issue my LCS had me down for. James Robinson, what happened to you? Rucka was great. This is so bad and worse so boring.
The Flash #43 - pretty good. Holding out hope Flash Wars will be special. I've been waiting for this book to be better than it is since it launched. It keeps me just interested enough to keep buying and reading it.
Mera #2 - A real highlight. Love the new Orm backstory. He's always felt too generic to me for having a familial connection to Arthur/Mera but this issue I really felt like I got to know him and Mera better, both. A great leap from the already pretty good first issue.
Teen Titans #18 - Bought out of responsibility (failed to remove from pull list though I've meant to do that). Liked it better than I expected to but my expectations were low. The characters on the cover already make me nostalgic for an era of this team that hasn't even been very good. Not digging on the upcoming roster though I'll give it a chance.
Mother Panic: Gotham A.D. #1 Pleasant surprise. I wasn't into the first series and only gave it a few issues. This made me want to read more.
What a week! Lots of greatness, lots of pedestrian mediocrity, but all in all a very good week for DC even though it didn't have a single book by my favorite DC writer by far, Tom King.
