Persons hate when movie sequels alter continuity which could be the Original movie.
Persons hate when a character changes to a hero or villain and no valid logical sensible reason is provided in the movie, comic book, etc.
Persons hate the awful movie Catwoman because it's a awful movie and highly unfaithful to the source material,.plot holes, lack of continuity, and the implausible including a group of persons don't ask how she did superhuman things.
Persons hate deaths of characters in Comic books since the Company typically has the intent for the character to remain dead so no logical sensible reason to kill that character.

Persons hate names of movies that have Inane names since the name of a movie is supposed to be what the movie is about.

Persons hate when movies break their own rules.

Every one of those things is an emotional response - and in most cases, they're emotional responses to something completely subjective.

Well, to be honest, Scarlet Spider sounds like the name of a 1940's pulp hero, right up there with the likes of the Green Hornet and the Shadow.

Battlefield Earth was intentionally made to be a serious epic great Science Fiction Drama movie with aliens invading Earth.

Instead it's a epic hot garbage awful movie with pathetic Villains,that maiw not a great hero and other not great heroes, awful effects for the guns, plot holes, and the asinine line they can't find put what humans want to eat yes they can ask them, they don't want rats it's the only thing available, most of the movie doesn't have a battle on Earth, etc.

The distributor(New World International) was in financial trouble at that time. By early 1990, I think that another company had bought most of their film/video holdings.

Seems like it was a film that the new company just didn't want to put resources into.
