So as we all know, last year at SDCC DC dropped the news that Milestone Media is making a comeback in the form of a reboot known as "Milestone 2.0". All of the Milestone characters are going to be in anew earth known as Earth-M, as part of DC's multiverse. The reboot is being headed by Reginald Hudlin and Denys Cowan. So far it's been confirmed that some of the first titles we'll see are Icon & Rocket, Xombi, and of course the most famous of them all, Static Shock. However, they've also promised that we would see some new heroes and villains as well.

In this thread you can talk about your hopes and expectations for the reboot and eventually the reboot itself once it's titles are released.

Personally I'm hoping Statics new series uses villains from the cartoon series such as Ebon and the rest of the Meta Breed. What would the rest of you guys love to see in Milestone 2.0?

Have we gotten any new information on this at all? I hope the project isn't falling by the wayside.

Also, a static comic using elements form the show would be cool. Mainly gear. Richie was a cool supporting character.

I wish they would drop some crumbs or something. Feels like its been forever since it was announced. Some artwork would be nice. Anything really.

I'm desperately waiting for some new Static and for the rebirth of Dakota.

I honestly think this project is dead. There has been nothing announced at all, they should be trying to create a buzz, they should be making this a big deal, getting people excited. I'm sure most people forgot about it and that's a bad thing.

Wouldn't go that far.DC has started to release trades of old milestone stuff.Which was one of the things on there agenda.So there has been some movement

Any word if John Rozum will be returning to write Xombi? I can only hope DC allows him to continue with this character's history and story in a way that stays true to what Rozum had intended from the get-go. That second Xombi miniseries a few years back was amazing. I hated to see it end.

I really hope he does. Especially after he got screwed over on Static Shock thanks to Scott McDaniel.

My guess is the Rebirth initiative is taking up most of their efforts at the moment. So maybe this got pushed back to 2017.

That or maybe they'll announce that Static might later get a rebirth title. A guy can dream at this point.

Completely agree that Ebon should be a part of Milestone 2.0. Great villain, cool powers and perfect counter to Static. I also think they should have Richie becomes Gear and introduce Shebang. Hopefully, some of cool 2nd tier Milestone characters get more spotlight like Kwai, Donner, Blitzen, Sideshow, Plus and Nun of the Above.

It would also be nice if some creators who got acclaim or their start with Milestone can be part of 2.0 especially Ivan Velez, Matt Wayne, J.H. Williams, Humberto Ramos and Eric Battle. It would also be great if Christopher Priest and Jamal Igle can be part of 2.0.
