Captain, in Order to build a better world, sometimes means tearing the old one down... And that makes enemies.

It's not hard. List of PR continuities:
Main universe
RPM (post-apocalyptic setting)
Dino Charge (ended with dinosaurs not extinct, which prevents Dino Thunder)
Comics universe (set in 2018 instead of 1993)
PR Pink (also set in present instead of 90s, but assumes TV events up to A Different Shade of Pink happened)
Justice League/Power Rangers (contradicts both the show and main comic)
1995 movie (contradicts Ninja Quest)
2017 movie (drastically changes stuff from season 1)

I just finally had the chance to read Go go power rangers issue 12 and wow...
Screw them man..
the last page had me miffed, they were his best friends and they do that to him.
Telling Matt would've broken Zordon's three rules. Which are no using powers for personal gain, never escalate a battle until forced, and no revealing your secret identity. It would've broke the third one, and I think the first too.

Rule #1 Never use your power for personal gain
Rule # 2 Never escalate a battle unless Rita forces you
Rule # 3 Always keep your identity a secret no one may know that you are a power ranger.
They cannot tell Matt, no matter how much they wanted to. Though the idea of them breaking the rules and being in conflict with Zordon would make for a interesting comic.
I think it would be interesting to actually explore this as I don't know if any iteration of the show where the rules are in effect has. From a certain perspective, the rules can be seen as necessary to keep the Ranger grounded since they can only use their powers as they were intended and they can't take any personal glory in it.
The TV series showed they weren't ironclad rules as when Rocky, Adam, and Aisha found out who the Rangers were during a serious situation that didn't count as a rule break.
And what would Zordon do if he decided a Ranger was abusing the power? Can he cut them off from the grid while they still have their power coins?
Wasn't the rule already broken when future Kim told him?
Anyway say what you will, but after all his ordeal from being kidnap and kinda losing his mind a bit there after, he had the right to know.
P.s. If someone knows the answer please tell me, how would Zordon even know if the last rule was broken?
