I don't expect this run to wow my socks off, but I'm just glad that this will probably give the Superman title a boost in readership.
Scott Snyder says Clark fans will be happy with this issue

Sounds like Unchained fans will enjoy this book.
Me not so much, but I hope to be wrong.
First off, that cover rocks. Secondly, I won't jump to conclusions just yet. Just because Snyder likes the issue doesn't necessarily means it reads like Unchained. I'm sure the man enjoys styles other than his own as a reader, heh. Time will tell as always, though.
Awesome cover, and the art looks amazing.
Though if Scott Synder is a fan of it, it doesn't sound like a SUPERMAN book I'll enjoy.
I'll be getting this. I can do without the drool though.
I personally love Romita's art.
And I also enjoyed Superman Unchained, before Jim Lee's unprofessionalism practically ruined the book. I also just noticed Scott Snyder wrote Flashpoint Superman, no wonder I had liked it.
Just you wait, classic run in the making.
I liked Lobdell's run on Superman and I'm so looking forward to see what Johns and Romita do as well. Keen as heck.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again JRJR on Superman is a dream come true.
It's not just that. I've been used to the idea that Snyder is a Morrison fan, even though their takes on Batman are polar. In this case though, I've been saying for months that this book sounds like Unchained with less try-hard monologues. And that only feels validated when the solicit teases a character who sounds like Wraith, followed by this tweet.
