Last time around we saw another debut issue win the poll, always nice given this year's penchant for established titles taking the crown. Looks like Port of Earth might be off to a good start!
This week: Curse Words wraps up its second storyline by proving just why the arc had to be titled 'explosiontown'. Speaking of explosions, Descender wraps up its biggest storyline yet (Rise of the Robots) in suitably explosive fashion this week. The series is scheduled for a short break following this issue. Generation Gone also ends its current storyline, as does Kill the Minotaur (which might be its end entirely?) and speaking of endings... Invincible draws ever closer to its finale with an oversized issue this week. Maestros second issue comes accompanied with a reprint of the first, indicating strong sales, and Realm also gets a reprint. Butcher Baker the Righteous Maker gets a collected edition, and then we gotta dive back into endings once more. Postal wraps up its current storyline by ending Eden, so that's a big issue for sure. The Wicked + The Divine also has a bombshell up its sleeve with the conclusion of the Second Imperial Phase this week.
Whew! Okay with all these endings, let's look at the new stuff:
First up is Dark Fang about an aquatic vampire whose sea-bottom realm gets threatened by pollution. Now she must venture to the surface end the ecological disaster also known as the fossil fuel industry. Wonder if this'll ruffle any feathers? I suppose vampirism is hardly sustainable in the long run either?
Second up is Evolution, another contested topic I suppose haha, which is about the next step in human evolution drawing closer and the global response to whatever alterations occur. Should be interesting how this affects existing societies. This one comes to you from an all-star lineup from Skybound and launches with an oversized issue.
