So GenX #8 came out today, and it was awesome. Strain has a great handle on these characters, and Pinna’s art has improved. Just one thing though:

Is there some sort of “Impaled Anonymous” group that Jubilee can join? She needs an intervention- it’s like an addiction now.

If she doesn't pull herself off that thing like a boss come the next issue, they better have a really flipping good reason. Oh, or maybe she could just go mist form, what a novel idea!

Sadly, to me this stinks of a plot device made to keep her out of commission for the next issue so Monet can terrorize the students.

Here’s a really great podcast from about a year ago - Jay & Miles X-plain the X-men #137: Kicky Kinko Killers.

It gives a fantastic in-depth analysis of both Jubilee’s early character (traveling with Wolverine immediately post-Australia), as well as post-Siege Perilous Psylocke. Lots of love for Jubes in this one, and some really good character insights for both her and Betsy. It’s over an hour long but absolutely worth the time.

Also, for the life of me I can’t remember what issue this image is from. Help please?

Well, when I look at that cover image for GenX #87, two things stand out:

- From the way Jubilee is posed I have a suspicion that they’ve purposely left out a rather critical piece of the artwork so as not to spoil too much, probably intending to add a bit of “color” for the actual release. Read into that what you will.

- She still has fangs. Not sure if that means anything or if it’s just typical artistic license for the cover.

So maybe it’s possible she gets both?
