I wonder how Azz's WW satisfied the "appealing reading for teens" category. Family drama??

Also, no Prez??? Not sure I place much merit in this list (though I admittedly don't doubt all the titles are good).
Comics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. -- Grant Morrison, 2008

trade-waiting - Ice Cream Man, Monstress

backlog - Blade of the Immortal, Mignolaverse, Promethea, X-Cutioner's Song

Azz's WW probably appeals to the mythological teen fantasy fans.
And the Prez TPB hasn't been released, yet... It won't be eligible to be included until the 2017 list.

I was about to question what sense does it make to promoted WW vol. 5 instead of first one, but you saved me the embarrassment by posting those earlier nominations.

Interesting that it's the only regular series added consistently... yet, they skipped volume 4.
I think 5 and 6 were added this year because the run ended.

I did get baffled by that, too.
I chalked it up to us living in a desensitized society or some sort of realism over fantasy movement at the time.

I'm also surprised that Grayson hasn't made the list.
