Either he committed suicide because he couldn't stand the Jailer in his head or he wanted to save the other prisoners from the Jailer's torture.

sad. but given the magical nature of Crusher's powers, it's probably survivable. wouldn't be the first character to be dispersed. but hopefully, they would get around to showing Skeeter's reaction.
