He already said at one point that Briar was going to have a part in this book. In one of his interviews.

I'm going to guess again and say Mimic or Warbird.

He stated she had an important role. Bunn also stated that the 8th member may not really be an x-man. Briar fits very well imho... As well as Lorna.

Scott doesn't fit simply based on his attitude.

I doubt that it's Lorna, as many people have wanted and expected her to be that person, so she wouldn't fit the criteria in the least, and he's already said that she will show up in an arc or two...doesn't sound like a secret member...

At this point I'm kinda wishing there was no 8th member. The team is near perfect just the way it is.

But if we must have another I'm really feeling Vulcan, Exlixer or Madlyne Prior, no one else does it for me.

Forgot about Maddy. She'd be a good fit. Probably a bit too evil though.

I wouldn't mind someone like Empath joining. Not heard from him for a while, but I guess Betsy has claim on the whole mind control thing....

I know this is probably way off but considering what just happened in Issue 2, could it be Dani Moonstar lol. Or maybe its the real Wolverine. Maybe it's Blink or maybe Astra or Legion. I'll also add Synch or Rusty Collins. Finally I'll say maybe it's Destiny, Hope Summers, Ruby Summers,or dare I say the real Jean Grey. What the hell Mr. Bunn tell us if someone in this thread guessed correctly and maybe just maybe which page. ��

I'm thinking Moonstar considering her attachment to Elixir and Cullen having written her in Fearless Defenders. I'd love to see her in this with her powers back. Or maybe she'll show up next issue as a Valkyrie.

The statements made about the character is that it was "an X-Man you never expected to see again" and that Cullen hadn't seen anyone guess correctly yet. Since he reads the UXM threads on here pretty regularly, that rules out any characters brought up in previous threads, and the fact that it's someone who was already an X-Man rules out any characters who hadn't been on the team previously.

I'd love to see Madelyne portrayed as less evil and more complex. She and Neal Shaara--with a new codename--are the ones I'd most like to see, depending on how Cullen handles them. They both deserve another chance.
