I'd be curious as to why? I mean, Japanese/Asian comics cover pretty much every genre and seem to target their intended audience, age-wise, a lot better.

Old School,

I think the sole exception is Akira. Everything else I've ever read just fails to breach the cultural barrier. The stories, the characters, and usually, the art styles just seem completely uninteresting.
