SciFi Comic story Identification

Hello,

This is my first post here. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. I need some help finding a comic book that I read as a kid back in the 70s. It told a sort of Zephram Cochran character story about a traveler who was old and wanted to die in space. He was recounting the adventures of his life or horrors of it. The main panel I remember was of him saying "And lord the beasts were ravenous on planet blah blah." The panel showed a bear-like beast with a bug-eyed monster head devouring a space cadet as the others watched in horror.

This story could have been in a collection of other stories or just a short story at the end of some other comic.

Does anyone remember such a comic? Thanks.

It would help if you remembered if it was in a color or black and white mag.Warren put out many sci fi stories.Dc put out a few issues of time warp.

Ah, an excellent point Dr. j. It was a color comic potentially an issue from one of Gold Key's comics like Twilight Zone or Boris Karloff. Any ideas?
