He's coming at us with a new shield featuring an energy blade to penetrate enemies. Now, that seems a bit violent to me! I'm more a fan of the old school, non-lethal weaponry. That's why I love the old boy. War was war. This is the USA.

Let's try to find a safer solution.

Cap already has the two best non-lethal weapons: his shield and his brain.

But maybe a ton fa? That might be cool. I think the bo staff and escrima styled batons are a bit overused, imo.

This is comics. How about a "technomagic" electro-stunner bullets that always incapacitate normal people but never kill them in the shape of mini shields... or maybe little eagles or something else patriotic. No need to worry about little things like realism.

I think Cap could used a tonfa fairly easily. It's been stated that he can master any weapon in seconds, it's most likely hyperbole, but the point is still valid that he can master martial arts faster than almost any one. And he could always throw the tonfa like ,DD throws his billy club. It's comics after all, it wouldn't be too far of a stretch. But, honestly? I just want him to have his shield back.
