The Jedi Council may have been envisioned as democratic to begin with but they were clearly in full bureaucratic mode come the Clone Wars.

Now that I think about it, the new starship seen at the end looks a bit like the Assault Frigate from the "Legends" novels/comics/games (It pretty much shows up in the very first scene of Heir to The Empire!), which also played a large part in the "Empire at War" strategy video games.

Like those frigates it seems to lack a tail as well.

I'm not sure if these are actually really 'capital ships' at all but more like a kind of gunship, they appear to be not much larger then the fighters around them, and like the fighters they're color-coded. Also I wonder if the 'fin' possibly rotates as well, kind of like the B-wing in the OT (Although we saw very little of those). So they might be more analogous to the U-wing from Rogue One, or the Republic gunship in the prequels, than the frigates.

B-Wings are in supposed to be in TLJ. I hope they let them kick some ass. They were my favorite Rebel ship.

There's been some better looks at Rey and Ren's looks via promotions for the new Battlefront game; Rey's look is pretty much classic Jedi with a bit of her own look (and a huge belt) and Ren is pretty much the same, except with the scar, naturally, no helmet and some added shoulder pads.

There's also been some pictures of some of the toy ships. I'm kind of reminded a bit of the TIE Avenger from the X-wing/Tie Fighter video games, which seemed sort of like a halfway point between Vader's ANH TIE and the Interceptor. http://makingstarwars.net/2017/05/ky...the-last-jedi/

The same set also includes a first Order TIE (Basically similar to the classics but painted black) and curiously, what appears to be a regular Imperial Star Destroyer. Curiously, I think it's 'canon' that the First Order was in part created by Imperial fleet remnants, so it's possible they've got some older models that will appear backing up the new Destroyers. They can pretty much just use some of the Rogue One CG model, probably. (Although the towers are a bit different than the later ESB and ROTJ versions)

The B-wings were kind of intended to do more in ROTJ, but it's thin profile was hard to photograph with the limits of 1983 effects technology, so it was pretty much left out of the battle entirely-although it's heavily featured in both versions of the EU.

I'm already getting really anxious for this movie and we still have like 7 months before it comes out.

Transcription of the major players in the video:

Anthony Daniels: "Episode VIII...gosh. The first film didn't even have a number."

Daisy Ridley: "Rian has written a story that's unexpected but right. Some of the stuff that happens, people are gonna be like, 'oh my god'.

Mark Hamill: "Even though I think I know it all, they throw things at me story-wise I never could have imagined."

Daisy Ridley: "And even though everybody knows that it's the second in the trilogy, it feels like its own thing."

Kelly Marie Tran: "Star Wars is so cool because there's all these creatures and all these amazing visual effects, but all the chacters are also so complex."

John Boyega: "Rian needs to work on his Wookiee sounds. Ridiculous. New director. Can't even just learn a Wookiee sound."

Gwendoline Christie: "It feels like the storyline's becoming more established. We're really getting to know these new characters, also with the characters that we know and love - we're seeing their lives change."

John Boyega: "Everything is being shifted in an opposite way to what the audience expected after VII. Rian's made Star Wars fresh and new."

Rian Johnson: "I'm hoping it'll be a little shocking, but I'm hoping it'll feel real and honest."

Gwendoline Christie: "This almost ancient story of good against evil told in the most fascinating way but it has a real spiritual depth to it."

Carrie Fisher: "It's about family and that's what's so powerful about it."

Pretty cool. It also confirms at least one of the rumors about the film, that Finn goes on an undercover mission. Which possibly also includes a Tom Hardy cameo.

Also if you look closely during the hanger scene one of the A-wings has the color scheme of Ralph Mcquarrie's concept art (The other A-wings of course have the reverse color scheme of their ROTJ versions, which looks slightly "Jedi starfighter" here. Another nice nod there. Finn's flight suit is also interesting, wonder if he'll fly a rebel starfighter (He seemed to be a pretty good gunner at least with the TIE and Falcon).
